If we define an American fascist as one who in case of conflict puts money and power ahead of human beings, then there are undoubtedly several million fascists in the United States.

There are probably several hundred thousand if we narrow the definition to include only those who in their search for money and power are ruthless and deceitful.

Most American fascists are enthusiastically supporting the war effort. They are doing this even in those cases where they hope to have profitable connections with German chemical firms after the war ends.

Activist Post: Citizens United puts US on path to fascism

The US Supreme Court's striking down of nearly a century's worth of campaign finance laws means the US government can now be "bought" and the country may be headed for fascism, says an outgoing Democratic House representative.

In an interview this week, Rep. John Hall (D-NY), who lost his seat in the mid-term elections, told the New York Observer that he sees a threat to American democracy in the court's ruling.

I learned when I was in social studies class in school that corporate ownership or corporate control of government is called fascism. So that's really the question -- is that the destination if this court decision goes unchecked?

The Citizens United decision ended decades of campaign finance regulation.  Corporations, unions and other groups can now spend unlimited amounts on political campaigns without having to identify themselves.

HYSTERICAL RAISINS: Republican Koch Suckers

Is there a vast corporate conspiracy behind the Tea Party and the midterm resurgence of the far right?

Some evidence involves the well-documented role of the billionaire Koch brothers, their Americans for Prosperity front group and other Koch-funded entities. 

Now a secret letter from Charles Koch shows that the tentacles of the “Kochtopus” include a high-level “network” of corporate, lobbying, nonprofit, and media organisations that meet regularly to plot right-wing strategy.

The Koch family knows how top do this with its family connections to Nazi Germany. Koch Industries is the child of the violence of Buchenwald,  widely regarded as one of wartime Germany’s most notorious “death camps”. It also has connections to the John Birch Society. 

This is corporatism, a polite word for American fascism.

Urantian Sojourn: TEA PARTY DRAG

Rightardia knows these graphics are photoshopped, but we make no distinction between the corporatist Tea party candidates and plain old ordinary fascists. 

 

When a photo of Ohio congressional candidate Rich Iott showed up this week in a Nazi uniform, other pictures like the one above began blitzkreiging around the internet, showing various Tea Party candidates reveling in the uniforms of the most despised military thugs in human history.  

That’s noted homophobe, Crazy Carl Paladino, with candidates Joe Miller, Rand Paul, and Sharron Angle, all resplendent in cheap Nazi drag.* 

Some borderline sentients think dressing up like Nazis is just good fun.  And nobody has more fun in the run-up to the midterms than the Republican Tea Party.  

But just because you actually play dress-up in a repulsive uniform it won’t bestow the qualities of genuine leadership upon you.

It would seem the American electorate is suddenly confronted with a stunted bumper crop of bona fide lunatics.  But the climb out of the evolutionary slime is always long and arduous, especially for the least qualified among us. 

And the emergence of more than a half-dozen spectacularly unqualified candidates who’ve swallowed the stupidi-tea of the disaffected right has been festering towards political power since Ronald Reagan was a tiny little troglodyte.

Alaska’s Joe Miller renders the stiffy salute, along with bunker mates Sharron Angle, Colorado’s Ken Buck, and crazy Carl.  The picture has garnered attention because it has been doctored to appear “historical,” and gets bonus crazy rating because all the candidates are wearing cute little Hitler mustaches.  Note the Republican Tea Party flag— “Liberals” are the new Jews.

The age-long struggle of the human race towards a modicum of planetary enlightenment is inextricably linked with spiritual progress.  It’s completely understandable that the surviving traditionalists and “conservative” dregs of a disappearing past would fight for their right to ignore change, remain the same, and try to drag mankind down the ideological hole in the dark they live in.

It’s not going to happen of course, progress is inexorable. But the battle will be protracted, brutal, and fitfully bloody, and will defy logic, fact, and reason at every turn.  

The ultimate consequences of allowing large numbers of our citizens to remain uneducated and brain-washed by a 24/7 propaganda tool of greedy corporate overlords must be a price we’re willing to pay;  for if we don’t, the uniforms we’ll be forced to wear won’t look anything like the snappy monkey suits of the Republican Tea Party SS.

*Well, except for Miller. I dunno WTF he’s wearing.

The Atlantic's Josh Green reports that millionaire businessman Rich Iott, the Republican nominee challenging Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D) in Ohio's Ninth District likes to pretend he's a Nazi.

Iott, a tea party-backed candidate, is a member of the 5th SS Wiking (pronounced Viking) Panzer Division, a group of Ohio World War II reenactors.

According to their website, the Wikings (pronounced Vikings) strive to "salute" the "idealists" from occupied northern Europe who saw the Third Reich as "the protector of personal freedom and their very way of life" and signed up to fight for the Wermacht and "gave their lives for their loved ones and a basic desire to be free."

Republicans wants to revive Bibical stoning

As Vice President of the Chalcedon Institute Martin Selbrede stated in the Institute's March/April 2010 issue of Faith For All Of Life, the only reason Bill Gothard didn't agree to use Chalcedon founder R.J. Rushdoony's monumental Institutes of Biblical Law tome in Gothard's sprawling evangelical empire is that the two couldn't agree on divorce.

Rushdoony's Institutes has provided a template for instituting Biblical law in government  . . .

As Selbrede wrote,

[T]he divide between Gothard and Rushdoony on divorce was a deep and abiding one. Gothard proposed using Rushdoony's Institutes of Biblical Law as a resource for his massive ministry; the sheer volume of the resulting sales would have made Rushdoony both rich and famous. Gothard's condition for moving forward on this was letter-simple: Rushdoony merely needed to remove the section on divorce from his book, and the highly profitable deal would be sealed.

Rushdoony refused the offer."

So, while Gothard was categorically opposed to divorce, Rushdoony, a virulently racist Holocaust denier who espoused Geocentrism, was a little more liberal on divorce. In other words, the two men were otherwise in substantial agreement - except for the sticking point of divorce, they both agreed that Rushdoony's vision for Biblical law should be imposed upon America.

That vision included instituting stoning as a form of capital punishment for rape, kidnapping, murder, heresy, blasphemy, witchcraft, astrology, adultery, "sodomy or homosexuality," incest, striking a parent, extreme juvenile delinquency, and "unchastity before marriage.

Daniel Webster's association with Bill Gothard's Institute For Basic Life Training has continued into the present, and a speech Webster made at a Nashville IBLP conference in 2009 has now become a source of controversy due to a new Alan Grayson campaign ad. Grayson is currently taking a media drubbing because of an ad campaign ad that calls Grayson's political opponent, Republican Daniel Webster, "Taliban Dan."

An assessment from Factcheck.org, a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, has charged that a new Grayson campaign ad attacking Grayson's political opponent, Republican Daniel Webster, takes out of context statements Webster made in a speech at a 2009 conference of a religious organization called the "Institute of Basic Life Principles."

But die-hard religious right researchers at ReligionDispatches.org are raising questions about Factcheck.org's charge, and Religion Dispatches editor Sarah Posner calls out Factcheck.org in turn for its benign depiction of Bill Gothard's IBLP, noting that "Factcheck.org fails. to describe what the IBLP is really about, describing it as a "non-denominational Christia organization that runs programs and training sessions."

Politifact rated Grayson's comments half true but did not provide much of a rationale for their determination.

Many across the political spectrum appear appalled by the Grayson campaign's "Taliban" label but Daniel Webster's nearly three-decade long, intimate involvement with the Bill Gothard and the Institute For Basic Life Principles suggests that the label may be less than hyperbolic.

Wesbter's association with Bill Gothard and the IBLP is noteworthy for other
reasons :

taught in public school systems across the United States, teaches an extreme form of submission to authority. As Norman's story begins,

While the students at the Charter School of Excellence are divided fairly evenly between blacks and whites, they dress alike, with the boys in dark blue pants and green buttoned-up golf shirts and the girls wearing white blouses under plaid jumpers. All eyes are focused on their young and attractive teacher, Mrs. Blocker, who leads them in song:

Is anyone surprise that the GOP would prefer to provide vouchers so parents can send there kids to private schools dominated by right wing churches? I guess they prefer to save money indoctrinating kids in private schools rather than 'fixing public education.'

Rightardia consider this sort of obedience to be reminiscent of German fascism in World War 2.

Right-wing media's selective outrage over Nazi references

Rightardia has never understood why progressives and liberals are reluctant to use the f-word: fascism while Democrat have been erroneously called socialists for years. Republican ideas, are, in fact, often undistinguishable from the fascist ideas of World War 2.

NAACP President Ben Jealous: Our Jewish friends sitting around saying this is too much like the period before Kristallnacht. And old black folks sitting around going, I don't know if this is more like when my granddaddy told me about the end of Reconstruction or what I witnessed with the rise of the White Citizens Council.

Beck's website hyped the video, claiming Jealous said "America like Before Kristallnacht." On September 27, Glenn Beck's website, The Blaze, posted the video of Jealous' comments under the headline, "NAACP: One Nation March About Not Calling Obama an African Witch Doctor, America like Before Kristallnacht."

Beck then airs Jealous clip, asks, "Who's calling whom Hitler?" On the September 27 edition of his radio show, Beck played a clip of Jealous' comments and stated, "So he's talking about that there are people who want to purge people - that the Jews are saying, oh, I don't know what's happening, I guess with the tea parties - is too much like Kristallnacht. Who's calling whom Hitler?"

Right-wing media have long history of invoking Nazi references to attack Obama and his policies as well as progressive figures. Right-wing media figures - led by Beck -- have a long history of invoking the Holocaust, the Nazi Party, and Adolf Hitler to smear the Obama administration, other progressive individuals and organizations. For instance:

Beck: Holocaust survivor's story of how Nazis drove a wedge between students and parents sounds like U.N. and Gore. On the September 24 edition of his Fox News show, Beck hosted a Holocaust survivor who said that the Nazis drove a wedge between students and their parents. . .

Beck: Progressives use "democratic elections" to push dictators -- "Hitler, 'democratically elected.' " On the April 28 edition of his Fox News show, Beck stated that progressives use "democratic elections" to push dictators, then stated, "You'll hear this when they talk about the 'democratically elected' leader of Iran; the democratic leader Chavez, 'democratically elected,' you know; Castro, 'democratically elected'; Hitler - 'democratically elected.' "

Beck: "Progressives build the structure that a communist, a Marxist, a Nazi would love to have." On the April 22 edition of his radio show, Beck stated that "[p]rogressives build the structure that a communist, a Marxist, a Nazi would love to have."

Beck invokes Nazis to attack worker ID cards: "It was only one of the first things that Hitler did." On the March 9 edition of his radio show, Beck discussed national ID cards for workers and said, "It was only one of the first things that Hitler did."

Beck on Obama's "civilian national security force": "This is what Hitler did with the SS." Discussing President Obama's call for a "civilian national security force" -- which was a reference to expanding the foreign service, AmeriCorps, and the Peace Corps -- Beck said on the August 27, 2009, edition of his Fox News program:

Beck: "I'm not comparing" Obama to Hitler, but asked his audience to "please read Mein Kampf" and learn from Germany's mistakes. On the August 12, 2009, broadcast of his radio show, discussing Obama's position on health care reform, Beck stated:

Beck told Newsmax: "I fear a Reichstag moment." On September 29, 2009, conservative news website Newsmax.com reported of its interview with Beck:

Beck links health care reform to Nazis, suggests reform would kill elderly and newborns. On his August 6, 2009, radio show, Beck suggested that health care reform would lead to the eugenics programs undertaken in Nazi Germany, saying that "three people in the White House are in love with eugenics" and that reform would kill the elderly and newborns.

Beck's comment on Nazi health care is clearly propaganda. The Germans had the first health care system in Europe in the 1890's. A conservative leader, Otto von Bismarck, established the German health care system.

Beck compared car dealership closures to Nazism, warning "at some point, they're going to come for you." While discussing the closures of auto dealerships under the bankruptcy deals of GM and Chrysler, Beck said that the "poem that keeps going through my mind is 'First they came for the Jews,' " adding, "Gang, at some point they're going to come for you."

Beck compared auto bailouts to the actions of German companies "in the early days of Adolf Hitler."

While discussing the auto company bailouts on the April 1, 2009, edition of his Fox News program, after stating, "I am not saying that Barack Obama is a fascist," Beck said, "If I'm not mistaken, in the early days of Adolf Hitler, they were very happy to line up for help there as well. I mean, the companies were like, 'Hey, wait a minute. We can get, you know, we can get out of trouble here. They can help, et cetera, et cetera.' "

And so forth and so on . . .

Newt Gingrich: Obama, Dems threatening America as much as "Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union once did." On the May 16 edition of Fox Broadcasting Co.'s Fox News Sunday, Fox News contributor Newt Gingrich said that Obama and Democratic policies threaten America as much as "Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union once did."

Limbaugh compares Obama health care plan to Nazi policies. On the October 1, 2009, edition of his radio show, Rush Limbaugh stated of Obama's health care plan: "Just as Obama's doing, Hitler - well, even prior to Hitler, German socialists attempted to remake and order their country using health care as the springboard and the foundation. Same thing that's happening here."

Limbaugh continued: "Hitler was a man of the left. Nazi is simply the term for the National Socialists of Germany. ... The National Socialists and their domestic policies - short of the Holocaust - have far more in common with what Obama's doing than anybody on the right."

Again, Htilter was neither a leftist or a socialist. The German socialists wing of the NAZI party was primarily the SA that was led by Ernst Röhm. These were the original brown shirts that Hilter had eliminated during Kristallnacht. Hitler outlawed trade unions and lowered workers' wages. He militarized the economy with the help of German corporations. His government embraced fascist values and religion as a reaction to Russian communism. The Germans painted Teutonic crosses on their aircraft and tanks.

The primary reason the Nazis came to power was because the fragmented left made up of communists and social democrats, who wouldn't work with each other. Also, Germany went into a depression after Wall Street crashed and US banks would no longer loan the Germans money.

If you look around America, progressives and liberals aren't showing up with weapons at political rallies or forming militias. Progressives aren't waving false yellow flags with rattle snakes on them. Nor are progressives fanning the fires of racism against blacks and Hispanics. We agree with Ben Jealous. He made an astute observation.

Critics, including conservative commentator Michelle Malkin, complained that the scarf wrapped around her looked like a kaffiyeh, the traditional Arab headdress. Critics who fueled online complaints about the ad in blogs say such scarves have come to symbolize Muslim extremism and terrorism.

The kaffiyeh, Malkin wrote in a column posted online last Friday, “has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad. Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant (and not-so-ignorant) fashion designers, celebrities, and left-wing icons.”

Malkin noted that it could appear at times that actor Colin Farrell, rapper Kanye West and Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean have been photographed in similar scarves that were "distinctive hate couture."

A statement issued Wednesday by Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin’ Brands Inc., however, said the scarf had a paisley design, and was selected by a stylist for the advertising shoot.

“Absolutely no symbolism was intended,” the company said.

Rachel Ray's terrorist scarf looks familiar.

Dunkin’ spokeswoman Michelle King said the ad appeared on the chain’s Web site, as well as other commercial.

Actually the two scarves aren't similar at all. At one time the PLA used a red checkered scarf. The Major remembers the scarf because he bought one while he was in Egypt.

Burn A Quran Day: Wrestlemania Parody

Book burning was something that Nazis did after they took over the German government.

We also have armed militias sprouting up and the rise of right wing media. The Democrats and Republicans argue over issues like Medicare and Social Security. Similar programs in Europe are infrequently mentioned.

The Republicans whine incessantly about entitlements while the federal deficit was primarily created by the Bush tax cuts and defense spending.

We have one of thee most privatized systems in the world already, one of the smallest tax burdens as a per cent of GDP and lax labor laws.

Employee wages have remained stagnant for more than a decade and employee benefits are shrinking. The distribution of income in the US that is worse than it was before the Great Depression and many Democrats are afraid to raise taxes on the affluent.

The Middle Class is on it knees and is ready to put more Republicans in the House and Senate, who represent the "have mores."

Rightardia plans to put most of its contributions in the Democratic Senate races and support some local candidates. As long as Democrats can filibuster GOP laws and Obama is president, more regressive legislation can be stopped.

Rightardia does not see how deregulation can help the economy because that what go into the economic mess to begin with. We have seen little data that supports side economics that is not partisan.

We know Republicans would like to privatize Social Security and Medicare, but they have no interest in cutting defense spending which is the big budget waster.

America seems to be drifting to the right and we are still thinking we are fighting the Cold War and need to defeat communism.

We got sucked into the Middle East conflict during the Bush Administration to fight the biggest enemy of Israel.

America still hasn't matured as a nation. If you think things are bad now, wait until 'tan is a can' John Boehener becomes speaker of the House. Hopefully he will remain sober while the House is in session.

Why are conservatives afraid of Rightardia?

Rightardia believes the right wing is afraid of Rightardia because we tell the truth and use a take no prisoners approach when we publish.

We call a spade a spade: the right wing has moved to the far right since the 2008 elections they are all crowded along the right field foul line.

The Ditto heads, Tea Baggers, militia members, racists, white supremacists and neo-Nazis that make up the file of the GOP are clearly fascist. So are their corporatist masters. 

Since we started to point out that Repbublicans are fascists, right wing hackers have forged and hacked Rightardia Usenet posts.

Right wing hackers have also created a bogus email address: rightardia@yahoo.com and are impersonating us to direct unsolicited email from unseemly organizations to Rightrdia. Unfortunatley for the Rightrdia impersonator, one of the organizations logged the impersonators IP address:

These forgers and hackers  also publish forged email to suggest that Rightardia is associated with NAMBLA (the National Man Boy Love Association), which advocates pedophilia. These wingnuts have also tried to sign up Rightardia with socialist organizations. 

Why are right wingers doing this? They are scared to death of Rightardia because we aren't afrid to use the F-Word: fascist.

We have also actively refuted GOP arguments against reforming health care and privatizing Social Security. We also have no use for tax scofflaws who stole millions form the government using UBS tax evasion schemes.

We are also crticial of the red state fisherman in the gulf who do not pay Income Tax or the FICA payroll tax. The Blue States will be paying for the welfare of these fisherman when they are no longer able to work.

We also admire outspoken Democrats like Rep. Anthony Wiener and Rep. Alan Grayson. This must really gaul these right wingers.

You want to fight, righty? Bring it on! Rightardia has big cojones. We will never back down. We will never cut and run!

"Fascist, Right Wing Republicans are the most sniveling, poltroonish,
ignominious mob of serfs and goose-steppers ever gathered under one flag."

Whether is was supporting dictator Franco of Spain, Hitler or dictators like
Pinochet, Fascism and the right have marched in goosestep for centuries.

Fascism, Nazism and Conservatism

European fascism drew on existing anti-modernist conservatism, and on the
conservative reaction to communism and 19th-century socialism.

Conservative thinkers such as historian Oswald Spengler provided much of the
world view (Weltanschauung) of the Nazi movement.

In Britain, the conservative Daily Mail enthusiastically backed Sir Oswald
Mosley's British Union of Fascists, and part of the Conservative Party
supported closer ties with Nazi Germany.

When defeat in World War II ideologically and historically discredited
fascism, almost all Western conservatives tried to distance themselves from
it.

Nevertheless, many post-war Western conservatives continued to admire the
Franco regime in Spain, clearly conservative but also fascist in origin. With
the end of the Franco regime and Portugal's Estado Novo in the 1970s, the
relationship between conservatism and classical European fascism was further
weakened.

American militarism

Militarism is perhaps the most striking similarity between Fascism and
contemporary American conservatism. Of course, there are many liberals in
America who support the military and even call for increased military
spending.

Even so, American liberals are traditionally more skeptical of the military
than American conservatives. It is often said that Neoconservatives, like

Hitler, see the military as a paradigm for problem solving (even in

situations that may render militarism impractical or unethical).

The relationship of fascism to right-wing ideologies (including some that are
described as neo-fascist) is still an issue for conservatives
and their opponents.

Especially in Germany, there is a constant exchange of ideology and persons, between the influential national-conservative movement, and self-identified national-socialist groups.

In Italy too, there is no clear line between conservatives, and movements
inspired by the Italian Fascism of the 1920s to 1940s, including the Alleanza
Nazionale which is member of the governing coalition under premier Silvio
Berlusconi. Conservative attitudes to the 20th-century fascist regimes are
still an issue.

How to spot fascists in the US

Perhaps the best assessment of fascism in the United States comes from a 1945 War department publication:

"Three Ways to Spot U.S. Fascists.

Fascists in America may differ slightly from fascists in other countries, but there are a number of attitudes and practices that they have in common. Following are three. Every person who has one of them is not necessarily a fascist. But he is in a mental state that lends itself to the acceptance of fascist aims.

1. Pitting religion, racial, and economic groups against one another in order to break down the national unity is a device of the divide and conquer technique used by Hitler to gain power in Germany and in other countries.

With slight variations, to suit local conditions, fascists everywhere have used this Hitler method. In many countries, anti-Semitism is a dominant devise of fascism. In the United States native fascists have often been anti-Catholic, anti-Jew, anti-Negro, anti-Labor and anti-foreign born.

In South America native fascists use the same scapegoats except that they substitute anti-Protestantism for anti-Catholicism.

Interwoven with the master race theory of fascism is a well planned hate campaign against minority races, religions, and other groups. To suit their particular needs and aims, fascists will use any one or a combination of such groups as a convenient scapegoat.

2. Fascism cannot tolerate such religious and ethical concepts as the brotherhood of man. Fascists deny the need for international cooperation.

These ideas contradict the fascist theory of the master race. The color, race, creed or nationality-have rights. International cooperation, as expressed in the Dumbarton Oaks proposals, run counter to the fascist program of war and world domination.

Right now our native fascists are spreading anti-British, anti-Soviet, anti-French and anti-United nations propaganda.

3. It is accurate to call a member of a communist party a communist. For short, he is often called a Red. Indiscriminate pinning of the label Red on people and proposals which one opposes is a common political device.

It is a favorite trick of native as well as foreign fascists.

Many fascists make the spurious claim that the world has but two choices---either fascism or communism and they label as communist everyone who refuses to support them.

By attacking our free enterprise, capitalist democracy and by deny the effectiveness of our way of life they hope to trap many people."

Dangerous Intersection: United corporations of America

As part of the biggest Fourth of July celebration in St. Louis, Missouri, one could see corporate flags waving on the same staffs as American flags, which is apparently exactly where they belong. To me, this arrangement symbolizes the almost complete corporate take-over of the United States.

We’re in an ominous environment right now. We have a thoroughly corrupt Congress (Dick Durbin: “The banks frankly own the place”) and a Supreme Court filled with corporation-idolizing free market fundamentalists.

If you think it’s already bad, here’s what’s about to happen. This upcoming ruling by the United States Supreme Court will make clean money legislation unworkable. Citizens United was apparently just the beginning of a terrible trend.

There are relatively few politicians speaking up with passion. Sheldon Whitehouse is one of the few. We need massive marches across America. We need millions of people to turn off their damned TVs and iPods and get up and march, but I don’t see it happening.

Most of the people I talk with don’t care that money buys elections, even while they go to Fourth of July celebrations and give lip service to “America is the world’s greatest country.”

Rightardia comment: Americans live in a over commercialized society and have forgotten that corporatism and fascism are the same animal. Ad FDR stated:


The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it comes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group.


In Europe. the fascists was defeated when World War 2 ended. The US infrastructure never experienced the horrors of a world war. The fascist America Firsters and similar groups were left alive and well in the US.


We now have militias organized around the country that are similar to the SA Brownshirts that brought Hitler to power.  We have a neo-Nazi's patrolling the Arizona border with Mexico and neo-confederates in the South and West that oppose the federal government. The Tea Party movement is fueled by racism against the president.


Is this worrisome? Yes, but it could also be fascism's last gasp in the US. The right wing knows that America is changing and it will no longer be a white or Christian nation by 2016. This may be the beginning of the end for the GOP which will become a regional political party with permanent minority status. It is just a matter of time.

Fascist Mickey Mouse poster sparks outrage in Poland

The giant poster, went up in June in the western city of Poznan, just steps from a synagogue. It  is an Italian artist's take on what he calls the "horrors" of the American lifestyle" and is one piece of artwork in a contemporary art exhibition opening in the autumn.

But the reactions show that in Poland, where memories of the suffering inflicted during Nazi rule remain strong, there is little appetite for satirical or artistic uses of images linked to Nazi Germany.

"This art provocation is a form of violence against the sensitivity of many people," said Norbert Napieraj, a city council member who asked prosecutors to ban the poster.

Prosecutors, however, determined that the poster is art and does not violate the country's laws against glorifying Nazism, the Telegraph reported.

American conservatives have been denying for years that American corporatism is just another form of fascism. The right has often tried to blur the distinction between fascism and socialism.

Rightardia understands what the Italian artist is suggesting. In the US we have put a cartoon face on fascism. The nude body represents profane America. When Walt Disney was alive, he was also notoriously antisemitic.

Old American Century: Fascism Definitions

The right wing has tried to blur the distinction between communism and fascism which are, in fact, political systems on the left and right respectively.

Fascism was a reaction to the the growth of communism in central and eastern Europe in the fist half of the 20th century. The right wing likes to use simplistic defintions of fascism like the one from Conservapedia:

Fascism is a totalitarian economic and political ideology that arose in early twentieth-century Europe and came to dominate the social and political systems of Italy under Benito Mussolini and Germany under Adolf Hitler. Like Communism, it was anti-religious.

Well, if fascism was anti-religious, why was the highest honor a German soldier could receive an iron Cross?

Why did the Germans paint Teutonic crosses on their aircraft? Why did the Vatican openly support the fascists in Italy and Germany.

The American fascists are most easily recognized by their deliberate perversion of truth and fact. Their newspapers and propaganda carefully cultivate every fissure of disunity, every crack in the common front against fascism.

They use every opportunity to impugn democracy. They use isolationism as a slogan to conceal their own selfish imperialism. They cultivate hate and distrust of both Britain and Russia.

They claim to be super-patriots, but they would destroy every liberty guaranteed by the Constitution. They demand free enterprise, but are the spokesmen for monopoly and vested interest.

Their final objective toward which all their deceit is directed is to capture political power so that, using the power of the state and the power of the market simultaneously, they may keep the common man in eternal subjection.

For out of this modern civilization economic royalists carved new dynasties. New kingdoms were built upon concentration of control over material things.

Book on Hitler Youth warns of fascist dangers in the US

High on the list of the Third Reich's atrocities was its use of state power to undermine the most basic of human rights and the subordination of all other social institutions to the prerogatives of the Party.

In "Life In The Hitler Youth" by Jennifer Keeley, the reader learns of the Nazi subversion ofthe family and realizes the disturbing parallels that can be drawn with developments unfolding in our own nation and the Republican family values agenda that includes ideological indoctrination by evangelical churches.

According to Keeley, all of German life (including the minutest detail of one's personal life) was brought under Nazi control through the policy of Gleichschaltung or coordination so that all of society and culture reflected National Socialism .

As such, the 1936 Law Concerning The Hitler Youth decreed that all of German youth were to be incorporated under the banner of this organization. The Hitler Youth or Hitler Jugend became the source of manpower for the Nazi SS.

When reading "Life In The Hitler Youth", one comes away with an uneasiness in the pit of the stomach when one realizes the similarities of the philosophies justifying a number of the programs in Nazi Germany and the United States of America.

Although the United States is nothing like Nazi Germany in terms of destroying innocent human lives, if Americans do not now get a grip on certain ideological trends festering below the surface of public policy, the nation could very easily find it self sliding in this kind of downward direction.

As Norm Chomsky has pointed out, the US took over the international role of the Germans after World War 2. The US also had a robust fascist movement in it prior to World War 2 called the Bund. Many American corporations were also openly sympathetic to the Nazis prior the the war.

In the Nazi and other fascist systems, it is not so much the individual created in the image of God protected by a set of unchanging eternal laws that matters but rather the larger group that counts.

For example, the 1936 Law Concerning The Hitler Youth read in part, "The whole of German youth is to be educated,outside the parental home and school, in the Hitler Youth physically, intellectually, and morally in the spirit of National Socialism for service to the nation and community."

As evidenced in one of Hitler’s speeches: "learn...that life for you must mean sacrifice, sacrifice of your personal freedom, sacrifice of your free time, sacrifice of many of the small pleasures of life; sacrifices when you take on yourself charges, not for the individual, not for yourself alone...but for your small, and yet so great community."

"To teach Hitler Youth the importance of their Volk community, the National Socialists suggested members participate in a form of land service. Although not obligated to do so by any mandate or decree, every year young people ... were expected to help the Volk community...This was designed to teach young people about putting the needs of the community before their own ."

The US had similar programs with Herbert Hoover's Civilain Conservation Corps that put many jobless Americans back to work. The objective of such programs --- be they either in a dictatorship or even in a representative democracy --- is ultimately to undermine the loyalty of its participants in regards to other authorities such as family or religion and to replace it with an absolute fealty to the organs of the state.

This is similar to GOP 'family values" rhetoric in which conservatives claim to represent the true American way of life.

The first phase of this program was innocent enough as it consisted of scheduling so many activities and meetings that the good Nazi family had to take part in that they were basically kept running around, away from one another,and unable to reflect more critically about what they were being lured into.

This wasn't really all that much different than what is going on in many of these Emergent and Purpose Driven megachurches these days where activities and meetings are scheduled multiple nights per week and parents are told you are less than an ideal Christian if you only show up for the traditional scheduled Sunday and perhaps Wednesday services.

These same techniques are used by both the Mormon church an the Church of Scientology. Those running afoul of National Socialist authorities underwent a process of scrutiny by the social service agencies of that day in a manner those under suspicions other than quantifiable physical abuse.

Parents refusing to go along with the Hitler Youth agenda could have their children taken away on the grounds of being "politically unreliable." One might say such parents failed to have their children "properly socialized."

Common to all forms of collectivism --- be they the communist, fascistic, or even more democratic and less blatantly homicidal varieties --- is the aspiration to so totally order the existences of those living under these systems.

Of course, the Germans believed God was on their side and Hitler may have even wanted to create a new uniquely German religion. The communists were blatantly atheistic early on, bout the Nazis wanted to manipulate religion to benefit the Nazi moment.

Keeley writes, "Finally, the Nazis attempted to replace Christianity with National Socialist ideology in the lives of youth. Some National Socialists expressed discontent with the so-called Jewish roots of Christianity...The Nazis began to remove symbols, such as the cross, from schools, but they also painted the Tuetonic crosses on their aircraft and tanks.

A prayer children were required to recite in order to receive a free school lunch:

Fuehrer, my Fuehrer, bequeathed to me by the Lord, protect and preserve me as long as I live. Thou hast rescued Germany from deepest distress. I thank thee for my daily bread. Abideth thou long with me, forsaketh me not, Fuehrer my Fuehrer, my faith and my light. Heil mein Fuehrer .

Religion was clearly enmeshed in the Nazi movement and Hitler was clearly obsessed with the occult and religious icons.
