Job options for a smart young Democrat

Rightardia has noticed a lot of intelligent and gifted people posting on our FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/rightardia?fref=ts or go to FB and search for Eric Elder. If you want to be "friended," you will have to be referred to by someone with friend" status on this page. Or leave a comment on this blog.

My advice to a smart young person graduating from high school or college is to start your own business or work for the government or in the public sector.

Working for most corporations in the USA is pointless. Most underpay workers, offer marginal benefits and no retirement.

By no retirement, Rightardia means that a 401K is not a retirement option. In fact, the 401 K was originally designed for affluent people and became a marginal savings plan for other Americans.

Don't waste your time working for a soulless corporation. Start a business or work for the government. Although this may be a tough row to hoe in the beginning, in the long run you will come out ahead.

Let the Republican stooges, lackeys, corporate running dogs  and sycophants work for the corporations. They will get their just rewards, too.

American Spring falls flat

This could be the end for the Tea Party. Will anyone take them seriously after the "American Spring?"

Are you a proud Democrat?

You don't need to apologize for being a progressive, liberal or centrist Democrat.

The Republicans have nothing to counter these two.

The Nazi baby machine

Hitler sought a superior and pure race.

The Nazi party emphasized the family and told Germans how to raise their children.

The Nazis provided incentives to mothers to have as many children as possible regardless of whether women was married or not.

The Nazi party created an ideal mother archetype. Their objective were millions blond blue-eyed Aryans who would lead and take over Europe.

The Nazis’ first task was to encourage families to produce as many children as possible. With a greater population, Nazi Germany could become a strong and pure nation.

During the Weimar era, the birth rate was dropping.  In an effort to change this, the Nazis encouraged motherhood through propaganda. Mothers were esteemed as heroes, and this idea was instilled in children through books and radio programs.

A mother, her daughters and her son in the uniform of the Hitler Youth in the magazine "SS-Leitheft February 1943.

German mothers were expected to produce children and 'Marriage loans' were also created for recently married couples to fund a baby. These loans were to be used as “vouchers for furniture and other household goods. The German women had to give up work to devote herself to marriage and motherhood.

In order to ensure the success of these marriage loans, there were increased taxes for single people and couples without children.

There was also the concept of the good German mother in propaganda.

We see several of these themes in the GOP today:

1. national family values
2. vouchers
3. stereotypical role of women often using a biblical basis
4. outlawing or putting severe limits abortion even in cases of rape
5. parental rights for rapists.
6. making women pay for rape kits and forensic tests after filing rape charges
7. outlawing or restricting birth control

The Republican concept of US exceptionalism even ties into Nazi Master Race idea.  Many Republicans believe the US is superior to other nations and has a destiny to lead the world.
The Nazis did not produce enough children and actually ran out of solders by the end of the war.  When the Red army entered Berlin, parts of it were defended by children, the Hitler Jugend. This is one of the last pictures of Der Fuhrer before he committed suicide.

The American dream and Family Values

If you had been on the Rightardia Facebook page on Mother's Day, you would probably have gotten a good idea of the real American dream. Mothers' were showing off their handsome sons and beautiful doughters, There were pictures of grandmothers , both extant and deceased.

These beautiful families are the American dream. This country needs a just society that promotes the needs of families and provides them with a secure future.

One of the first person to talk about an American dream was Martin Luther King, Jr. not Marco Rubio. King said:

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!"

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/smEqnnklfYs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

America likes to think of itself as a melting pot, but sociologists will tell you that the reality is ethnic neighborhoods of Eastern Europeans, Italians, Irish, blacks and Hispanics. Some neighborhoods are integrated based upon the economics of housing. Some cities do a better job of integrating their communities than others.

We have a long way to go to achieve King's dream. King certainly didn't talk about producing children to sacrificed upon the altars of of militarism or corporatism.

He didn't talk about a future in which schools produced corporate drones to work in corporations operated like command and control military operations and owned by oligarchs.

King envisioned a an integrated society, one of which you may have caught a glimpse at in the Rightardia Facebook Page on Mother's Day. . The families are diverse: white, black, Hispanic, mixed race, native American and LGBT. A hodge podge of religions were also represented.

All of the parents want their children to be successful and raise families. They want secured futures for their children with well paying jobs that lead toward a positive retirement one day. The parents want  to be able to send their children to college and technical schools. They want the their children to have the same dream and opportunities.

Marco Rubio has never really defined what he means by the American Dream, but he did say this to the  Rockingham County Republican Committee about Hillary Clinton.

"They're (Democrats) threatening to nominate someone now who wants to take us to the past — to an era that's never coming back. The road we're on right now is a road that will rob us of the American dream."

Rubio talks about opportunity, but the reality is the American social system has very limited social
mobility.

The Economist noted that "evidence from social scientists suggests that American society is much 'stickier' than most Americans assume. ... would-be Horatio Algers are finding it no easier to climb from rags to riches, while the children of the privileged have a greater chance of staying at the top of the social heap. The United States risks calcifying into a European-style class-based society."

Marco Rubio came form a different generation when his family emigrated form Cuba, There were many Federal and charitable programs that helped Cuban-Americans make the transition. These programs are now gone.

They made it to the middle class, my dad working as a bartender and my mother as a cashier and a maid. I didn't inherit any money from them. But I inherited something far better - the real opportunity to accomplish my dreams.

Rubio is the one who seems to be the one remembering a bygone era. Rubio is 43 and his family benefited from government programs that helped Cubans make the transition to American life that were not available to other Hispanics or even other Americans

When the Cuban children from Operation Peter Pan--which was as an aftermath to the Castro Revolution--arrived in Miami they were met by Catholic Charities.  The children were then sent to live with relatives or to foster homes, orphanages or boarding schools until their parents could leave Cuba.

The United States Congress passed the Cuban Adjustment Act in 1966 to help the immigrants who were classified as political refugees. The Cuban Refugee Program provided more than $1.3 billion of direct financial assistance. Emigrees also were eligible for public assistanceMedicare, free English courses, scholarships, and low-interest college loans.

That is the world Marco Rubio grew up in. Rightrdia thinks he has forgotten his Cuban-American roots and the largesse of the US government.

Three progressive voices go silent

Rightardia has been publishing  for more than four years. During that time we have seen some strong progressive voices fade away due to illness and subsequent death.

The first big loss was RS Jayne. He often used modified comic book covers to satirize the right wing. If you search  the Rightardia blog, you can find examples of his work. Most of his art on Google images has disappeared. Here is another example below.

To avoid copy right violations, Rightardia linked a lot of the art. Much of Jayne's art is now gone, even missing from the Rightardia blog.

One of the first progressive bloggers was Bartcop.com and you kind find information about Bartcop on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartcop.

The blog was written by Terry Coppage. Terry died on died March 5th, 2014.

Last but not least in Barabara Broido who recently passed away. Rightardia used her art a lot on both the blog and the Facebook page.

Check Out Barbara's Doodle blog to see her work. She was a very funny lady who would dress up in a variety of humorous costumes with her husband, Kenny. Barbara Broido died on April 8th, 2014 at the Albany Medical Center, following a short battle with multiple Myeloma.See her blog at https://barbarabroido.wordpress.com/ before it disappears.
It is sad to see these three pass. All will be hard acts to follow Hope some new progressive talent materializes one fine day that can generate an equivalent  body of work that these three produced.

Good-bye, my Internet friends. You are already missed.

White hat hackers's Hack-ANON infiltrate RNC servers

Hack-ANON discovered the new new political theme on the RNC servers for the 2104 elections: "We're ready to wreck America again!"

RNC theme: "We're ready to wreck America again!"

The RNC has established teams that will present the various tenets of the "We're ready" campaign.

Sarah Palin and Marcia Blackburn will present the women's phase of the the RNC theme: God has a plan for you in the kitchen."

Ben Carson will present his three step programs for getting brothers and sisters off the plantation with dramatic cuts to HUD housing, food stamps and school lunches.

Paul Ryan will present his solutions for fixing poverty in America, once and for all. Ryan said the poor just need a swift kick in the ass to get them going.

Paul Wolfortz will present American foreign policy in the Age of Armageddon emphasizing why the US needs to take a stand in the Ukraine.

Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney will explain how war  can create economic opportunity for America. Dick Cheney added war is also great for the medical community, too.

A Reince Priebus memo also indicated the RNC is certain it has the correct prescription for America's ills.

Rightardia has moved over to FaceBook

During the 2112 election, cycle, Rightardia noticed a lot of activity on its Facebook page. Most of our political posts are now found on FB.

Although we still do some political posting here, you are more likely to find orginal articles on the Veterans Administration or tech topics in the blog.

The Rightrdia FB page has around 600 friends and followers and we would have even more if we weren't so particular and who we friend.

The Rightardia FB page is not a debate page.  Rightrdia and Rightard Whitey got bored with debating right wing trolls and idiots on Usenet, so we don't allow any of that riffraff on our FB page.

As our FB banner states, "Never waste time with people who have no interest in you point of view. "

Conservative Trolls are there to proselytize you or to disrupt your blog. They are not interested in real debate.

If you have worked in Organizing for America (OFA), you probably know that the volunteers do not call Republicans.

Why? Because you are unlikely to make any headway with an an ideologue.

In addition, there are far more Democrats than Republicans and the Democratic base in increasing while the GOP bas is declining.

The bottom line is that the Democrats don't need Republicans to win elections. We just need to turn out the Democratic base. Sometimes that is easier said than done particularly when the Republican Party is doing everything it can to make it harder to vote.

Rightardia does have Republicans who post on our FB page. If you are a moderate or an independent, you are welcome on the the Rightardia page,

Check out the FB page at https://www.facebook.com/rightardia. You can also find the home FB page by searching for Eric Elder aka Rightard Whitey.

Please send a FB friend request if you have been or are a follower of the Rightardia blog.
