Senator David Vitter is a birther

WASHINGTON (Associated Press) — Republican Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana says he supports conservative organizations challenging President Barack Obama's citizenship in court.

Vitter, who is running for re-election, made the comments at a town hall-style event in Metairie, La., on Sunday when a constituent asked what he would do about what the questioner said was Obama's "refusal to produce a valid birth certificate."

Such claims about Obama's birth certificate have been discredited. But with the crowd applauding the question. A US senator should be smarter and avoid an issue that has been throughly disprove and thrown out of court at least 5 times.

The Republican governor Hawaii has seen the Obama certificate of Live Birth and declared it authentic. Vitter has to know this. Hawaii also passed a law that allows the it to ignore redundant requests for information on Obama's birth certificate.

Latest Birther ad in the Washington Times

Is it racist, inappropriate, an outright lie, or indicate the denial that the right wing has about Obama presidency? Perhaps it is all of the above.

The fact is the ad is a waste of money. There is only two ways to remove a standing president. One is impeachment.

The other way is assassination. The last time I checked, Obama was receiving more than 30 death threats each month. Is this something that a patriot would really consider? Some conservatives seem to be very sore losers.

Jim Greer, Florida GOP Chair, Warns That Obama "Back To School" Speech Will Foment Socialism

The Orlando Weekly's Bloggytown is reporting today that a letter sent to school principals across the United States by Secretary of Education Arne Duncan made one local GOP official to completely lose his mind.

Duncan's letter previewed a national address that President Barack Obama planned to give on "the importance of education." Florida GOP chairman Jim Greer managed suggested "taxpayer dollars" would be used to "indoctrinate America's children to his socialist agenda."

Here's the letter that launched a thousand ships to the Straits Of Nutlog, bearing Greer.

Dear Principal:

In a recent interview with student reporter, Damon Weaver, President Obama announced that on September 8 -- the first day of school for many children across America -- he will deliver a national address directly to students on the importance of education. The President will challenge students to work hard, set educational goals, and take responsibility for their learning. He will also call for a shared responsibility and commitment on the part of students, parents and educators to ensure that every child in every school receives the best education possible so they can compete in the global economy for good jobs and live rewarding and productive lives as American citizens.

The letter goes on to say this is the first ever presidential address of this nature, provides the website to watch said address, and further offers teacher a "menu of activities" developed by schoolteachers to "stimulate discussion on the importance of education." It further offers preliminary details on some sort of student video contest. "The President believes that education is a critical part of building a new foundation for the American economy. Educated people are more active civically and better informed on issues affecting their lives, their families and their futures."

And with that, Greer was off and running, penning a letter of his own! An insane one! Conservative MSNBC host, Joe Scarborough, was highly critical of Republicans

As the father of four children, I am absolutely appalled that taxpayer dollars are being used to spread President Obama's socialist ideology. The idea that school children across our nation will be forced to watch the President justify his plans for government-run health care, banks, and automobile companies, increasing taxes on those who create jobs, and racking up more debt than any other President, is not only infuriating, but goes against beliefs of the majority of Americans, while bypassing American parents through an invasive abuse of power.

While I support educating our children to respect both the office of the American President and the value of community service, I do not support using our children as tools to spread liberal propaganda. The address scheduled for September 8, 2009, does not allow for healthy debate on the President's agenda, but rather obligates the youngest children in our public school system to agree with our President's initiatives or be ostracized by their teachers and classmates.

He goes on to complain about "holiday parties" and prayer in school, and he refers to the President as "Pied Piper Obama." Meanwhile, I'm trying to imagine how a brief speech of routine paeans to the importance of education is going to pull off inculcating the nation's schoolchildren on the virtues of state-run auto companies, and the like. It seems to me that three days after this speech is given, most everyone is going to forget about it, the children fastest of all.

Florida, which geographically dangles from the nation's underbelly like a spent prophylactic, harbors its share of GOP wing nuts. Over in the 15th District, residents have the honor of being represented by Bill Posey, the godfather of the Congressional birthers. Stephen Colbert made great fun of Posey earlier this year about it.

Politico: Orly Taitz is 'tilting at windmills'

Rightardia: We expect the Taitz suit to be thrown out because the election results have been signed and sealed. Orly Taitz is was born in Moldavia and has ties to the Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Justice Department is urging a federal court to toss out a lawsuit in which prominent birthers' attorney Orly Taitz is challenging President Barack Obama's Constitutional qualifications to be president. We agree with the DOJ position: the courts have no constitutional authority to remove or impeach a president. 

Only the US Congress and Senate can remove a president by starting impeachment proceedings. With significant Democratic majorities in the House and Senate, Taitz and the Birthers are 'tilting at windmills.' The Supreme Court or lower federal courts have no jurisdiction in this frivolous law suit.

In a motion filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana, Calif., government lawyers did not directly rebut the conspiracy theory Taitz propounds that Obama was not born in Hawaii as he claims and as asserted by Hawaiian officials as well as contemporary newspaper birth notices.

Instead, the federal attorneys argued that the suit is inherently flawed because such disputes can't be resolved in court and because the dozens of plaintiffs can't show they are directly injured by Obama's presence in office.

"It is clear, from the text of the Constitution, and the relevant statutory law implementing the Constitution’s textual commitments, that challenges to the qualifications of a candidate for President can, in the first instance, be presented to the voting public before the election, and, once the election is over, can be raised as objections as the electoral votes are counted in the Congress," Assistant United States Attorneys Roger West and David DeJute wrote.
"Therefore, challenges such as those purportedly raised in this case are committed, under the Constitution, to the electors, and to the Legislative branch."

The birthers' suit claims that Obama is a citizen of Indonesia and "possibly still citizen of Kenya, usurping the position of the President of the United States of America and the Commander-in-Chief.”

Obamolini: the man on the white horse

It's not ever day that America has had a leader who was both a fascist and a socialist. George W. Bush, in fact, never got beyond fascism. Obamolini also bamboozled Americans because he was a Muslim born in Kenya.

The right is so afraid of Obamaolini that they don't want him talking to their kids.  There children might cross over into fascist socialism after they see Obamolini's evil eye. Be afraid, very afraid.

Keep you dog away from Obamolini, too unless its a Portuguese Water Dog. Those dogs are not so tasty. That's why Obamolini hasn't eaten Bo.

Larry the cable guy: Forget Bipartisanship, get'er done!

Rightardia comment:  Is all the noise that the Astroturfers, Birthers, Deathers, and Tea Baggers really important? Not at all. The Democrats won the election.


Do we need Republicans to pass a health care bill. Not at all. The Democrats have a huge majority in the House and the Senate. If the right wing doesn't like public health care, let them eat cake. 

Obama's political organization, 'Organizing for America,' is now active and it has a clear strategy. The Democrats need to get the party started. Intrade indicates the liklihood of getting the America's Affordable health care Act of 2009 bill passed is low. Since the congressional break, the probability of success has dropped at least 10 points.

 
Where are the Affordable Health Care bumper stickers? It's now or never. We need to get 'er done!

As lawmakers return from their summer break, it may be time for Democrats to scrap grand, bipartisan plans and nail down a new, focused message to isolate Republicans and get a health-care reform bill passed, WSJ's Jonathan Weisman reports.

Veterans For Peace protest Rep. Gus Bilirakis's 3rd Annual Military Fair

Rightardia comment: The Major attended this event and noticed plenty of protesters as he entered the school grounds. Attendance was  light compared to last year and fewer people visited the displays in the school set up by a variety of veterans organizations. Another big difference was that some of the protesters entered the event grounds and were talking to the vets.

The major did not attend the rally in the auditorium because he no longer buys into right wing patriotic events. Some of the people who were leaving the rally indicated the protesters had disrupted it and police had to be called in. The Major saw the police talking to some of the protesters, but he didn't see anyone get arrested.

If the Astroturfers, Birthers, Deathers and Tea Baggers can't be civil in town hall meetings, Rightardia suggests turnabout is fair play.

The annual Military Fair, hosted by Congressman Gus Bilirakis, is used to glorify the military to children. Advertised as a "family" event, the fair includes multiple displays of military machinery and weaponry.

Public schools should be centers of academic and personal growth, we won't allow them to be used to showcase and glorify the military. At last year's event, Bilirakis allowed gun dealers on the school grounds; the dealers brought display guns, and allowed children to point them at each other.

The law states that if a child so much as displays a plastic pirate sword during a Halloween party on school grounds, he or she gets expelled. Yet the military is allowed to set up weapons displays and invite gun dealers to showcase their weaponry. We will not raise our children to kill another mother's child, and we refuse to allow our schools to become centers for military indoctrination.

The President doesn't follow the US Constitution?

Hats off to Sen. John McCain for setting one of his town hall meeting attendees  straight on the US Constitition.

President Obama  is a constitutional lawyer who understands the US Constitution a lot better than  George W. Bush ever did.

Three different people have confirmed that George W. Bush said: 

"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face," Bush screamed back. "It's just a goddamned piece of paper!" 


Obama never circumvented the FISA court and bugged the Internet. He didn't lie to Congress and the American people about WMDs in iraq. He didn't violate United States Code on torture. He didn't authorize executive assassination teams that violates US law and executive orders.

Are these Birthers, Astroturfers and Tea Baggers as stupid as the women in following video? Apparently so or they wouldn't be booing Senator McCain. Bill Maher is right. There are some very stupid people in the US.

The useful idiots of the right wing

It's very clear the right either doesn't understand modem world history or the are denying the reality that the Nazis and their fascist brothers were right wingers.

The term 'National Socialist' is an oxymoron because the Nazis were nationalists and German supremacists. They eliminated the socialist and intellectual part of the party, the SA, during 'The Night of the Long Knives.' Socialism is an international movement that has never embraced racial supremacy.

Clearly the Birthers, the Deathers, the Astroturfers and the Tea Baggers are acting like fascists and many on the far right like the 'ditto heads' are true fascists. Noam Chomsky has pointed out in his his books that at the US has taken over the role or the right wing super power after the Germans were defeated in World War 2. This explains the GOP priority on national defense that has morphed into pre-emptive war that is identical th the Nazi blitzkriegs in WW2. The suspension of habeas corpus, torture, secret prisons, manipulation of the judicial system and death squads are all features of fascism.

Latest health care ploy: The Deathers

Rightardia comment: First we had the Birther bimbo, Oily Titz.  What a joke she was! She had a fake legal degree and was involved with the Israeli right government who doesn't like Obama's middle eastern policies. She crashed and burned when she produced an obviously fake birth certificate from Kenya. Apparently the GOP had sent a team to Kenya hoping to find a Barack Obama's birth certificate. 

Now we have the 'Deathers' who want you to believe you will die early if the America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 is passed. They have tried to link the bill to euthanasia, abortion, and mandatory 'end of life counseling' when the government doesn't want to pay a senior's health care bill any more.

This is an outright lie because countries that have public health care live longer than Americans. Canadian men and women, in fact, live three years longer than American.

“First came the ‘birthers,’” Slate’s Christopher Beam noted Tuesday. “Now, as President Obama makes a final push for health care reform, we have the deathers.”

Republicans are trying to rally opposition to President Obama’s health care plan by suggesting it will literally kill people. One GOP legislator said the reform plan is a way to advance assisted suicide. Can scare tactics like this prevent Congress from voting on the health care bill? MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow was joined by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT to discuss these recent developments Tuesday night.

Earlier Tuesday, President Obama fielded a question at a town hall hosted by the American Association of Retired Persons.

“I have been told there is a clause in there that everyone that’s Medicare age will be visited and told to decide how they wish to die,” a woman named Mary hailing from North Carolina asked the president. “This bothers me greatly, and I’d like for you to promise me that this is not in this bill.”

Maddow remarked, “The president of the United States today answering whether or not he wants health care reform because it’s secretly a plan to kill old people. This is one of those moments where you go, ‘Huh, any questions?”’ Most of all, it‘s just a big misunderstanding, right? It‘s like a ‘Three‘s Company’ plot line.”

Rightardia editorial: Astroturfer Illogic

 

If you listen to the Astroturfer feigned outrage, you hear stuff like this:

I have worked all my life (haven't most of us) and I don't want this socialized health care.

What this person is really saying is they don't buy into the Obama paradigm shift that health care is a basic human right. Some others dislike health care reform because it will benefit the poor, blacks and Hispanics who are the bogey men for the lower class whites (Astroturfers, Birthers, Tea Baggers, and ditto heads) who are undereducated. 

Then there are the people who think changing health care law is unconstitutional and these folks have the audacity to tell the president, who is a constitutional attorney, and other politicians, most of whom are attorneys, that they have a better grasp of what the Founders really meant. The words 'free enterprise' and 'capitalism' are not in the US Constitution. The preamble states:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Surely, a national health care program would promote the general welfare of Americans. Most of these right wingers think that defense is the only function of the federal government, but it is actually listed third after establishing justice and insuring domestic tranquillity.

Then there is the the 'we don't trust you' rant. Of course these people don't trust Democrats. These folks were the losers in the 2008 election. We have seen the same people at Tea Bagger and Birther protests. The point is the Democrats won the election handily and the majority of Americans trust the President Obama and his Democratic administration.

Quite frankly, Democrats don't trust these Birthters, Tea Baggers and Astroturfers either. One man showed up at a presidential town hall meeting with a gun and another man was arrested today for displaying a sign advocating the death of President Obama. Democrats are aware of the accelerating racism and militia activity.

Then there are 'leave Britney alone' types. They want the gubbbermint to leave 'em alone. Fine. There is nothing to prevent people from buying private insurance. But many other people will want public health care option because it is cheaper. What the 'leave me alone' types want is not what most Americans will want once they have an option for public health insurance.

Socialized medicine doesn't work. Well, it does work in most of the industrial nations of the world have public health care system except the US and South Africa. Our private health care system is dead last in the industrial nations of the world. The World Health Organization ranks us 37th, Canada is 30th, the UK is 18th and France is number one. Our private health care system is the exception rather than the rule. Here are the WHO rankings:

The 'I've got mine' seniors and conservatives. These people are happy with Medicare or the private plan they have and don't seem to have much empathy for anybody but themselves. Of course, the health care industry's Nick Naylors are doing a great job of scaring them by telling them about 'death panels,' 'rationed care' and 'end of life counseling.' Keep in mind, too, that the elderly were the one demographic that Obama didn't win in the 2008 elections.

I fully expect AARP to endorse the Obama health care plan. I think the Democrats have enough folks in the House and Senate to do what is best for Americans even if it doesn't conform to most senior opinions on health care.

Well said, Ms. Couric. America can not let corporate shills, the under-educated, Birthers, ditto heads and Astroturfers drive national policy. We are a better nation than this.

Katie Couric denounced the "fear and frankly ignorance" that is driving people to town-hall forums on health care in her "Notebook" segment.

She expressed alarm that the debate has stirred up a hornet's nest and has "uncovered disturbing attitudes and emotions that have nothing to do with policy. Are we really still debating health care when a man brings a handgun to a church where the President is speaking?"

Rightardia's view is that the election was decided in 2008 and aggressive Astrotufers will really have no impact at all on the health care bill that emerges from the House and Senate. The Astroturfers, Birthers, Ditto Heads and Tea Baggers were the losers in the 2008 elections.

Rightardia's biggest concern is that violence will occur because Democrats are coming out in force to counter these uninformed right wingers. President Obama has reactivated his political organization, Oraganizing for America. There are more of us then there are Astroturfers and their cronies. We outnumbered Republicans 3:1 in the last election.

If the GOP wants a demonstration of political power, they are about to get it!

Rightardia comment: If Orly Taitz is an Israeli agent or lobbyist, she needs to be registered with the federal government. She can be prosecuted if she failed to register with the US government. As an unregistered agent of a foreign government, she could be in  violation of 18 U.S.C., Sections 2 and 951.

Orly Taitz is a Soviet Jewish Émigré form Moldova. Right after the forged Kenyan birth certificate appeared, she popped up in Tel Aviv two days later. Wayne Madsen discusses her link to Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu of Israel who is trying to undermine the Obama administration.



Investigative journalist and RT contributor Wayne Madsen says Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has been working with conservatives in America to undermine Obama, including the claim that the U.S. President was born outside of the country. Netanyahu has been visiting evangelical churches in the US to whip up support for Israel for many years.

Taitz was granted permission in 1981 to leave Moldova and join an uncle who had moved to Israel. One of her mother’s fellow schoolteachers offered to set her up with a software engineer named Yosef Taitz who was visiting from California. On their second date, he proposed, and she accepted. They later got married in Las Vegas.

When the boys were young, she said, she got involved with politics. She got so involved enough with AIPAC that the whole family—with the boys stuffed into fancy suits—attended the organization’s convention in Washington in 2006.

That summer, during the Israel’s Lebanon War, she attended a pro-Israel rally in California. She told a reporter for the Orange County Register, “It is unfortunate that collateral damage happens, but it is necessary to exterminate terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.”
