The man in the moon

"If Bush had actually done his job and killed Osama bin Laden, the Right would have cleared room for him on Mt. Rushmore. If Bush had killed bin Laden and helped take down Gaddahfi? Over a single summer? . . . (T)he Right would this minute be carving his face on the Moon. "

-- Driftglass, September, 2011

Now, we now why Newt Gingrich wanted that moon base. Newt wanted his face on the moon.

Gallup: Obama continues his lead, 4/26/2012

Mittens has wrapped up the GOP nomination and Rightardia would have expected the Gallup delta to narrow with Obama.

However, that didn't happen.

According to Intrade, Obama has a 60.3 per cent chance of winning the presidential election.

Meanwhile, Newt will drop out next Tuesday leaving Ron Paul, who is an enigma.

Paul has rarely attacked Mittens , but is still in the race. Perhaps he intends to hand Mittens his delegates in Tampa.

Perhaps not!

Simple Rick bows out

Rightardia always thought Rick Santorum didn't have a snowballs chance in hell to get the GOP nomination.

Simple Rick is the Zooey Deschanel of politics: quirky!

Santorum  did not offer an endorsement, or any mention, of Mittens.

Unfortunately, Newt Gingrich now thinks he will be able to go "mano a mano" with Mittens. With Newt's campaign in the red to the tune of about $4.5million, that seems implausible..

This is what Gallup says today about the GOP candidates. Yesterday, Gingrich didn't even register in this poll.

Another political shyster ready to bite the dust

Did anyone think this blingking could win with that Stepford wife of his, Callista?

Newt was hoping for his 'Third Resurrection."

C'mon, Newt, Jesus only got one!

Newt just replaced his third campaign manager and laid off one-third of his campaign staff.

More enthusiasm for Gramps in 2008 than for Mittens and Simple Rick today

Conservatives have more enthusiasm for Gramps McCain in 2008 than they do now for Mittens or Simple Rick.

Note that the Mitens ratings today are almost identical to when he ran against McCain in 2008. What is ominous is that about 20 per cent of the GOP faithful plan to stay home or vote for Obama.

In the case of the Newtster, one in four would stay home or vote for Obama.

It looks like the GOP needs another "Game Change."

Perhaps they will pick better this time than they did in 2008 for VP.

The Washington Times: Newt Gingrich versus electoral reality

Obama would crush Newt

"Newt Gingrich was tossed out of the Republican Party leadership because of his failures as a leader. He quit politics. Newt is a failed quitter, a washed up has been. Gingrich is only a standard bearer for Gingrich. He does not care about the party, the people, or the country.
He is a narcissist. After Newt, everyone else comes first.
Gingrich will not be the next president. Barack Obama would crush him. Newt would also cause collateral damage. The GOP could lose the House and Democrats would gain a tighter hold on the Senate."
Rightardia hopes that Newt reads this editorial. It's time for him to go.

Perhaps Newt can start a third party movement with Sarah Palin. Those two are made for each other.

Mittens and Simple Rick kick sand in Sissy Newt's face

It's all over but the the shouting for Newt. According to Intrade, Simple Rick is expected to win the Mississippi and Alabama primaries which should push Sissy Newt out of the race,

The Raw Story: FEC warns Gingrich for paying himself with campaign funds

Newt Gingrich paid himself $88,000 in January for unspecified travel expenses.

Rightrdia suspects he was reimbursing himself  for travel to Tiffany's Jewelers to buy Callista more bling! .

Ginrich was hoping for a third comeback, but this story makes that even more unlikely.

Sheldon Adelson should give the $100 million political donation to Rick Santorum, another candidate who takes the Bibble literally.

Romney Campaign Drops effective Debate Coach

February 5, 2012 (2:09)

Reports say the frontrunner’s campaign was displeased with the amount of credit the coach received for Romney's improved performance in Florida.

Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign is parting ways with a debate coach — the man credited with the candidate’s recently improved on-stage performance. In Team Romney’s eyes, that might have been too much credit. POLITICO reports.

After (debate coach Brett) O’Donnell was ... highlighted … as being one of the reasons behind the former Massachusetts governor’s improved debate performances, Romney campaign officials grew uneasy ... it was made clear that there was severe discomfort about how his role was being portrayed in the media ...

Rightardia's advise to Mittens: Don't look at a gift horse in the mouth.Brett O’Donnell appears to have made a huge diffidence in the Jacksonville debate which started the rapid decline of The Newster.

Internet Weekly: Chairman Newt's glorious march to the moon

Rightardia suspects the Chinese will go the moon to try and harvest Helium 3 that could provide fuel to the earth for a millennium.

Newt never explained the potential of a moon base. With a crumbling Us infrastructure, unemployment and mountain of US debt, the timing of a US moon mission couldn't be worse.

Newt goes on the food stamp diet to challenge the Food Stamp president

picture by JimShorts. The Freaking News

Newt could stand to lose some weight so he is going on the Food Stamp diet. He plans to highlight the government waste in this programs to the poor that provides about $4.43 per day in government assistance for food.

With his saving in groceries, Newt will be able to buy Callista more bling at Tiffany's Jewelers.

"BANG, ZOOM! Straight to the moon!"

John McCain said to ABC News and CBS News:

I think we ought to send Newt Gingrich to the moon and Mitt Romney to the White House.

Rightardia will second the part of the quote about Newt.

Newt unlikely to catch Mittens after Florida

Rightardia expects Mittens to trounce The Newtster tomorrow and maintain his monetum all the way to the convention in Tampa.

Mittens has a strong campaign organization and Newt does not. In addition, the Tea Party is on the ropes and endorsements form Sarah Palin and Michael Reagan haven't done much for The Newster.

Take a look at the upcoming primaries and cauceses. There are seven elections in February, which starts with the Nevada caucuses Saturday. Nevada is next to Mitt's home state of Utah and Intrade has already projected a Romney win there.

Next will be  contests next week in Colorado, Minnesota and Maine and a non-binding primary in Missouri.

After a 17-day break,  primaries in Arizona and Michigan will follow on Feb. 28.

Southern conservative credentials won't help Newt in any of these states. In fact, playing a strong conservative card may be a detrimental in these states.

Without some unforeseen events, Mittens should have strong delegate lead by March.

Mittens should also endeavor to keep Rick Santroum in the race to siphon off the evangelical vote from Newt. Newt stupidly made a public ultimatum that Santorum should resign the primary  horse race.

Why?  Because Newt wants the Christian conservative votes.

Newt would have been smarter to try to work something out with Santorum on his primary withdrawal off camera.

Rick Santorum turned the tables on new by charging him with "grandiosity in the SC debate" He reminded the audience that mere weeks earlier, Gingrich declared himself to be the winner of the nomination. Santorum mocked Gingrich's demand that he drop out of the race.

Can Mittens be stopped. Rightardia doubts it.

The Freaking News: Can The Penguin defeat Batman in a debate?

Newt may be the only villain who can defeat Batman in a debate.

Rightardia expects Mittens to have a big win in Florida, much to the chagrin of the Tea Party crowd.

Can Mittens defeat Batman is a debate? Well, he certainly hammered The Penguin in the Jacksonville debates.

The Newtster wins SC

Three different candidates have won GOP primaries. SC is the big one because every GOP candidate who has won SC has went on to win the GOP nomination.

Michael Steele, the previous Republican national chairman told The Huffington Post Saturday night that the chances of an open or brokered convention in Florida next August are now "50-50" after Newt Gingrich's victory in South Carolina. Steele said:

"It's a real possibility. Right now I'd say it's 50-50. The base wants its chance to have their say. They aren't going to want it to end early, before they get their chance, which means that the process could go all the way to Tampa.

Mittens has big lead in FL primary

The Newster had a 30 point meltdown which will likely worsen since his second wife, Marianne Gingrich, may end his presidential campaign with a revealing television interview.

Marianne, the women Newt scorned, had warned several years ago that she could ruin any prospects he had for public office.

MSNBC also indicates that Rick Perry will anoounce today that he is dropping out of the GOP race for the presidential nomination. Perry will probably endorse Newt Gingrich.
