Gasoline prices are down

Good timing with Memorial Day coming up.

Meanwhile, The five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and Germany have been will have high-level meeting with Iranian officials in Baghdad next week that may lead to an interim agreement with Iran on it nuclear ambitions.

If the agreement is substantial, Rightardia would expect the US to withdraw naval forces near the Strait of Hormuz..This would bring gas prices ever lower.

Regardless, don't expect the Israelis to be happy with the agreement. PM Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu would not be pleased unless Iran dismantled its nuclear program, something Iran is unlikely to even consider.

Do you see the trend?

Israel is primarily responsible for the gas price rise because it put political pressure on the president that led to the deployment of naval and amphibious task forces around the Strait of Hormuz.

This is because the US Congress is fully supportive of Israel. So in a way, Obama is cause the gas prices to rise. He wants to avoid another middle east regional war.

Rightardia predicted this would happen once the US Navy movement into the Persian Gulf  began. Oddly, the media rarely mentions the real cause of the gas price rise.

Of course, the Republicans are well aware of the cause of the spike in fuel prices. However, the GOP is trying to make it a domestic issue.

China Daily: Higher gas prices are better than a regional war

Obama is probably wondering if trying to block the Strait of Hormuz is such a good idea.

RIa Novosti (RN) InfoGraphics are exceptional. Unfortunately, the Infographics are copyrighted so Rightardia could not use them. However, RN now allows its articles to be embedded.

So lucky you will now get to get to see an RN infoGraphic.

The United States is in no position to tell Tehran what to do in the Strait of Hormuz

Dep. Chief of the Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Gen. Hossein Salami

Dep. Chief of the Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Gen. Hossein Salami warned on Dec. 29:

The United States is in no position to tell Tehran what to do in the Strait of Hormuz. Any threat will be responded [to] by threat.

So here we go again. the US is trying to use a show of force to get the Iranians to back off of their nuclear program. The Iranians blocked the Strait of Hormuz with a naval exercise for five hours and no ships moved through the straits during that period.

Is Iran a threat to the US? No, it is s a threat to Israel who wants the US to neutralize all of it enemies.

Who will be the big loser?

Probably the US consumer at the gas pump. If the US attacks Iran, the strait will be closed cutting off between on-sixth and 40 per cent of the world's oil supply. An oil embargo may follow.

Do you look forward to paying $4.00 or more per gallon for gasoline at the pump?

Certainly, the Israeli leg humping evangelicals and fundamentalists won't mind, but the Average American should be bitter about these middle east developments.

You can be sure, too, Republicans, who would like the US to engage Iran militarily, will chide the president about any gas price increases in the upcoming election.

The president would be wise to let Israel fight its own battles.

The US has little to gain by attacking Iran. In fact, such an attack is not in US foreign policy interests at all.

DEBKAfile: Iran preparing to mine straits of Hormuz

US intelligence sources suggest that Iran's Revolutionary Guards are preparing Iranian marine commandos to sow mines in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

This would block about 40 per cent of the world's oil supply. It would take US mine sweepers 24-48 hours to remove the mines to open the straits.

Iran has warned it would retaliate  if the US, European and some Arab countries subscribe to economic sanctions that would discourage Iran from developing a nuclear capability.

Are you ready for the big increase in gas prices. AIPAC and Israel is grateful for the economic sanctions the US is developing against Iran.

Israel knows Americans will galdly pay higher gasoline pirces to help Israel through the nuclear crises with Iran. What are good friends for?
