Old time religion and politics have been a disaster for the GOP

The struggle between organized region and non-affiliated has been around since the nations was founded. Benjamin Franklin, Ethan Allen, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson James Madison, and Thomas Paine were all deists.

Deism the belief in a deity based on natural religion only, or belief in religious truths discovered by people through a process of reasoning, independent of any revelation through scripture or prophets.

Deism can be contrasted with theism, Most theists ascribe to organized religion. “Organized religion is typically characterized by an official doctrine (or dogma), a hierarchical or bureaucratic leadership structure, and a codification of rules and practices.”

The term theism was first used by Ralph Cudworth (1617–88). In Cudworth's definition, 'Theists, are those who affirm, that a perfectly conscious understanding being, or mind, existing of itself from eternity, was the cause of all other things".

Most modern western religious such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam are monotheistic. Almost all have official doctrine, bureaucratic leadership, and a codification of rules and practices often described as rituals.

Most of the early religions were integrated with and extensions of the state. This may explain why many religions have developed an authoritarian streak,

Barry Goldwater said this in 1981:

There is no position on which people are so immovable as their religious beliefs. There is no more powerful ally one can claim in a debate than Jesus Christ, or God, or Allah, or whatever one calls this supreme being. But like any powerful weapon, the use of God's name on one's behalf should be used sparingly. The religious factions that are growing throughout our land are not using their religious clout with wisdom. They are trying to force government leaders into following their position 100 percent. If you disagree with these religious groups on a particular moral issue, they complain, they threaten you with a loss of money or votes or both. I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in 'A,' 'B,' 'C,' and 'D.' Just who do they think they are? And from where do they presume to claim the right to dictate their moral beliefs to me?

Goldwater further warned about Christan fundamentalists and Evangelicals taking over the GOP:

If they succeed in establishing religion as a basic Republican Party tenet," he told US. News & World Report in 1994, "they could do us in."  In an interview with The Post that same year, Goldwater observed, "When you say 'radical right' today, I think of these moneymaking ventures by fellows like Pat Robertson and others who are trying to take the Republican Party and make a religious organization out of it.  If that ever happens, kiss politics goodbye.

So here we are in 2016. In 2012, we had Republican Mitt Romney running for president. Romney believed he was the chosen one in the White Horse prophesy. The prophecy predicts that the United States Constitution will one day "hang like a thread" and will be saved "by the efforts of the (man on a) White Horse. " Mormons have anticipated. the United States to eventually become a theocracy dominated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

When Romney was running we also had Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum trying to build their presidential aspirations on church altars. too. Newt Gingrich was another religious Catholic zealot

The worst by far is Ted Cruz who hold Dominionist beliefs. Ted would like to be the emperor of the first American theocracy.

The authoritarianism in the GOP can be explained to a certian extent by the a party riddled with religion.

The Republican reaction of the GOP to Obama may also have a religious basis in that many fundamentalists think Africans a have the mark of Cain on them. However, most anthropologists know that the human species developed in Africa. The first humans were dark skinned.

So how does the Democratic party work with Republicans who are religious zealots and ideologues with “my way of the highway” attitudes?

Would guess Obama is doing the best he can under the circumstances. You have to work under and around such people and work to marginalize them in the next election. On occasion, give them enough rope to hang themselves which is what happened to the the GOP when it closed down the Federal government.

You simply cannot negotiate with a “disloyal opposition” in good faith.

It's time for Democrats to put the hammer down and to storm the election booths in 2016. If we make an extended efforts, we can take the Presidency, the Senate and perhaps even the House!

Mitten's three Mormon heavens

In Mormon theology, there are three degrees of glory (alternatively, kingdoms of glory or heavens) which are the dwelling place for nearly all who lived on earth.

Joseph Smith, Jr. described the afterlife based primarily upon a vision he claimed to have received together with Sidney Rigdon, at Hiram, Ohio, February 16, 1832, and recorded as Doctrine and Covenants Section 76.

According to this section of LDS scripture, the afterlife has three degrees or kingdoms of glory, called the Celestial Kingdom, the Terrestrial Kingdom, and the Telestial Kingdom.

The few who do not inherit any degree of glory (though they are resurrected) reside in a state called outer darkness, which sounds like the catholic purgatory or even hell. These  misfortunate souls are known as "Sons of Perdition".

It was evident to Smith that if God rewarded every one according to their deeds,  the term 'Heaven,' as intended for the Saints' eternal home, must have more kingdoms than one.

Assignment to a particular kingdom in the resurrection is based upon the faith and works exhibited while living. The LDS Church teaches that these different kingdoms are what Jesus was referring to when he talked about the many mansions in his father's house (John 14:2).

If you want to hit the Mormon jackpot, the Celestial Kingdom, you must tithe 10 per cent of your income to the Latter Days Saints. You must also wear temple undergarments also called magick Mormon underwear, never commit adultery or masturbate.

As a former Mormon bishop and stake president, Mitt Romney is most certainly wearing Mormon underwear.

It's hard enough running for office as a Mormon

Imagine the difficulty an atheist or Muslim must have running for public office. Gallup indicated in an earlier article that the 18 per cent of Americans who will not vote for a Mormon has changed little in 45 years.

There is less prejudice for black candidates today. A poll in 1983 indicated 18 per cent of Americans would not vote for a black candidate for president.

Bill Maher discusses the wifer movement

Bill Maher had some fun tearing into birthers on his show tonight by turning the tables and ginning up irresponsible, rampant speculation about Mitt Romney's marital history.

Al Jazeera English: Mitt Romney and the Mormon factor

"Evangelical Christians are especially concerned, with some believing that Mormonism is more a cult than a mainstream Christian creed. Others fear a Romney administration would be unduly influenced by the church's attitude to such matters as polygamy, gay rights and abortion."

One in five Americans will not vote for a Mormon president.

WMR: How Mittens swept the Pacific Islands

March 15, 2012
To Mitt Romney, Republican Pacific islanders who voted for him in GOP caucuses in Hawaii and American Samoa are not merely partisan Romney supporters, but are descendants of Hagoth, a Nephite shipbuilder of the Lehi.

According to Mormon mythology, Lehi, an Israelite prophet, led his tribe from Palestine in 600 BC and ended up in the Americas.

Hagoth, as the the Mormon tale goes, left the Americas with his followers around 54 BC and sailed into the Pacific.

Modern-day Polynesians, the native people of Hawaii and American Samoa, are descendants of Hagoth, according to the Mormons.

A number of Polynesians, believing the myth that Polynesians arrived from North America and not, as scientifically proven by anthropologists and archaeologists, have converted to Mormonism.

Romney was able to use the influence of Mormons in Hawaii and American Samoa to ensure caucus wins in Hawaii and American Samoa. Romney beat Rick Santorum 45 to 25 percent in the Hawaii caucus.

In American Samoa, where 70 delegates voted for Romney at the Toa Bar & Grill in Pago Pago, Romney walked away with 6 delegates and 3 super delegates to the Tampa convention.

The American Samoa ratio hardly seems fair considering Alabama's primary voter numbers topped 2008's turnout, with 614,940 total people voting and 29 percent of them voting for Romney with a delegate pickup of 11 for Romney.

Romney also picked up 18 delegates last weekend in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

However, the Chamoru people are Micronesian, not the Polynesians extolled as descendants of Hagoth of the tribe of Lehi by the Mormons and their Polynesian Culture Center in Oahu, which adulterates Polynesian history with an invented historical past.

In essence, although the Micronesians of Guam and the Northern Marianas are deemed "second-class" Pacific islanders by the historically and traditionally racially-bigoted Mormon Church, their delegates were, nevertheless, grabbed up by a man who believes in the Mormon-invented history of the peoples of the Pacific.

Salon's Joan Walsh's tweet angers evangelicals

Rightardia admires Joan Walsh. She is intelligent and beautiful. Apparently her tweet angered some of the faithful.

Rightardia consider the tweet appropriate since Romney was a Mormon bishop for many years and may still be. Rightardia could not find out when Mittens had resigned as bishop.

Mormons also posthumously baptize non-Mormons into their faith. Ann Romney's father, who was an atheist, was also baptized into the LDS faith after his death.

Romney has said that he wanted to save America's soul. The Mormons also baptized two  members of the Jewish faith:  Daniel Pearl and Anne Frank in February, 2012.

USA Today: Many remain wary of Mormon ways

This is a good overview of the Mormon or Latter Day Saints faith.

'When Mormons proudly call themselves “a peculiar people,” they mean it in the biblical sense — set aside by God, chosen.
But many Americans call them peculiar in Webster’s way — strange, odd.'

Why do Mormons think they are chosen by God?

Wikipedia explains:

Mormons consider themselves to be the descendants of the Biblical Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (also known as "Israel") or adoptees into the House of Israel, and contemporary Mormons use the terms "House of Israel" and "House of Joseph" to refer to themselves.

The Book of Mormon tells of families of the Tribe of Manasseh and the Tribe of Ephraim that migrated from Jerusalem to an unknown location in the Americas. According to Mormon doctrine, this migration fulfilled the prophecy of Jacob on his son, Joseph: "

Mittens wants to “to save the soul of America.”

Des Moines--Mitt Romney said this today in a supermarket parking lot in West Des Moines:

I need your help, you guys. It’s a battle for America. It’s a battle for the future course of America.

Romney appears to subscribing to the Mormon White Horse prophesy.

The prophecy predicts that the United States Constitution will one day "hang like a thread" and will be saved "by the efforts of the White Horse" Some Mormons expect the United States to eventually become a theocracy dominated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS).

Who is the man on the white horse? That is Mittens, of course.

US presidential candidate Mitt Romney has said he considers the White Horse Prophecy to be a matter of "speculation and discussion by [LDS] church members" and "not official church doctrine." However, US senator Orrin Hatch and conservative commentator Glenn Beck, have stated that they believe the Constitution is "hanging by a thread". (Wikipedia)

What Romney and the other 1 per centers like him really want is to maintain the staus quo.The headline to this article should read."Mittens wants to save the status quo of America.

The inequality of the American plutonomy with its crony capitalism has made Mittens a wealthy man.

Why would Mitt want to change a good thing?

The angel Moroni
Rightardia doesn't believe the LDS is a cult. It is really a Christian heresy because it added a third testament, the Book of Moroni, which most historians have found laughable.

In addition. the LDS believe that American Indians are descended from one of the Lost Tries of Israel. DNA studies have proven that assertion to be false.

Mormons also think they are the descendants of Joseph and two sub-tribes of Joseph. The state of Israel has never accepted Mormons as being Israelite descendants.

Joseph Smith, the fonder of the Mormon faith was the L. Ron Hubbard of the 19th century.

Both the Latter Days saint (LDS) and Scientology faiths are both Christian heresies. Both religions appreciate men on white horses, too. .

Rightardia issues the sister wife manifiesto

Rightrdia is issuing the sister wife challenge to all politicians such as Mitt Romney who subscribe to the Latter Day Saint's or related church heresies that permit plural marriage also known as polygamy. polyandry and group marriage.

Such marriages violate American family values and any politicians who are members of the Mormon church or "Mormon fundamentalist" church who have histories practicing polygamy, polyandry or group marriage should have their marriage certificates published in their state and also certify that they have monogamous relationships with their spouses.

Mormon and other fundamentalist and evangelical candidates should also indicate their willingness to  support a Federal Marriage Amendment to the American Constitution to prohibits polygamy, polyandry and group marriage.

Rightardia demands that all fundamentalist, Evangelical and similar religious movements that permit polygamy, polyandry, or group marriage publish their marriage certificates online and certify in front of a notary that they subscribe to a monogamous one man,one women family values.

Magick Mormon spectacles

According to Wikipedia, Joseph Smith, founder of the latter Day Saints,  discovered some Golden Plates after he was directed to them by a heavenly messenger whom he later identified as the angel Moroni. Smith was able to translate the plates using seer stones described as Magic Spectacles.

This was kind of like a universal tricorder that was used in Star Trek for the enterprise crew to communicate with space aliens.

According to Latter Day Saint beliefs, the golden plates are the source from which Joseph Smith, Jr. translated the Book of Mormon.

The plates weighed from 30 to 60 pounds, being golden or brassy in color, with thin metallic pages engraved on both sides and bound with one or more rings.

Joseph Smith was given some aids (Urim and Thummim, which looked like clear rocks) to enable him to do the translation of the Book of Mormon.

Detractors like Rightardia characterize these as "magic spectacles."

At that time many people believed that a "seer" could use a "peepstone' or crystal ball to gain information.

Smith's translation ability developed out of his earlier treasure seeking and he used a process that was nearly identical to the way Smith used seer stones for treasure hunting.

To translate, Smith said that he translated using what he called the "Urim and Thummim" spectacles with stones where the eye-pieces should be.

That is how the LDS church got its bible, the Book of Mormon. Can you believe in magick?

Mormons: The lost Aryan tribe of Israel

Rightardia couldn't make this stuff up even if we tried.

The Mormon's believe they are descended for the House of Joseph. In the Book of Mormon, Lehi was an ancient prophet who lived around 600 BC. right before the First Temple of Jerusalem was destroyed.

Lehi built a ship, and sailed across the ocean to the Americas. Lehi was a member of the Tribe of Manasseh. Lehi's wife Sariah may have descended from the Ephraim, which is historically considered a half-tribe.

Lehi's sons Nephi and Laman are said to have established themselves and to have founded Israelite nations in America: the Nephites and the Lamanites. Many Mormons consider Native Americans to be descendants of the Lamanites.

The Mormons believe that the Lamanites eventually bested the Nephrites. They also believe that Jesus Christ visited the new world.

The LDS Church believes that scattered descendants of Ephraim from Europe, Scandinavia, and other parts of the world have been led by the guiding hand of God to settle in the Americas, along with the descendants of the Lamanites and others.

The Americas are a "promised land" of liberty for those who emigrated.

Acordingly, Mormons believe they are Jewish Americans. This belief is not shared in Israeli or mainstream American Jewish communities.

Although Rightardia does not believe that Mormons are Jewish, the Mormons believe otherwise.

If Bishop Romney were elected president, he would be America's first Jewish president.

Mitt Romney's Magick Mormon Underwear

Are we picking on Mitt Romney? You betcha! Keep in mind that Mitt Romney is a Mormon bishop who is well-versed in the secret rituals of the Mormon church.

The symbols on the underwear are actually Masonic symbols, but there are other weird stuff that Mormons believe in, too. Mormons think they know where God lives, a place they call Kolob. They also have a secret handshake they think will get them into heaven.

This is even better than being reborn. You can be the worst S.O.B.in the world as long as you can remember that 'secret handshake' after you die.

Secret Mormon handshakes and passwords revealed

These secret passwords and handshakes will get you through the Pearly Gates.  Check the hyperlink for details: http://nowscape.com/mormon/mormcr1b.htm#part_16

Why do Mormons have secret handshakes?

Mormons can never be sure quite of people. Who is OK? Who is not?

That's why Joseph Smith, the church founder, has revealed the Secret Handshakes.

This secret (formerly only sacred) way of clasping another's hands is so Mormons can surely know who the other person is a friend or foe or good or evil?
