Rupert Murdoch: 'Doubtful' That Romney Will Beat Obama In 2012 Election

Rupert Murdoch - Caricature

The Huffington Post reports that Rupert Murdoch thinks Mittens is unlikely to beat Obama unless he fires staff members and brings the pros in.

Rupert Murdoch stated that Mittens:

Seems to play everything safe, make no news except burn off Hispanics.

Murdoch also commented that the Tom Cruse and Katie Holmes divorce will center around Scientology.

Rightardia has read another report that Katie Holmes did not want her daughter, Suri, involved with that religion.

Murdoch added:

Something creepy, maybe even evil, about these people.

Tampa Bay Times: Controversy over Scientology influence clouds future of Pinellas charter school

One of the charter school's texts

DUNEDIN — "One Friday afternoon in December, leaders of a tax-funded elementary school called Life Force Arts and Technology Academy shepherded students into a Scientology church in Tampa's Ybor Square."

The Pinellas county school system has been trying to close the school which is under bankruptcy protection. Besides Scientology, the school also has a connection to the Nation of Islam.

Charter schools which have wandered down the path to religious instruction have been disciplined in the county in the past. Principals and other key staff were forced to resign.

Life Force Arts must have hidden its affiliation with Scientology and the Nation of Islam to get its charter approved.

This is an interesting story that AP has picked up.

WIN: Big Dissatisfaction With Allstate Among Its Agents. 02/10/12

2/9/2012

By Doug Cunningham
Over 1800 Allstate insurance agents took a survey done by the OPEIU affiliated National Association of Professional Allstate Agents, Inc. to measure the agents’ satisfaction with the giant insurer. Allstate fared very poorly in the NAPAA survey, which used a model similar to Allstate’s own customer satisfaction surveys. The company scored less than zero with a higher percentage of agents ranking the company with negative answers in all categories than those who ranked it positive in every category.

The AllState Insurance company was founded by Sears in 1931. In 1995 AllState became independent of Sears when Sears divested it share of the company to Sears' stockholders.

Allstate also dabbled with Scientology management principals between 1988-1992.

The course materials preached a rigorous, even ruthless devotion to raising productivity  were developed by Mr. L. Ron Hubbard, the Scientology founder.

One of the purposes of  a Scientology management program, is to instill "the ethics, principles, codes and doctrines of the Scientology religion throughout the business world."

Some employees today continue to use Scientology techniques. Some agents believe they have been harassed and, despite repeated denials, the insurance giant has been unable to put all the speculation to rest.

In 1995 agents in Florida have launched a drive to unionize the work force. The agents used the Scientology issue as a centerpiece of their attack on management.

Allstate employees who took the classes say one theme of the training was an uncompromising commitment to the bottom line.  Poor performers were often treated harshly.

The course materials warned managers never to be sympathetic to someone whose productivity numbers, or "stats," were down.

Huffington Post: Scientologists get mad and try to get even

One of SouthPark's best religious religious satires, "Trapped In The Closet" episode, allegedly struck such a nerve with the Scientology  leaders that the group responded by targeting the Southpark creators Matt Stone, Trey Parker and their friends in a long-term covert investigation.
Marty Rathbun, a former Church of Scientology executive, revealed to the Village Voice a number of documents that detailed the extensive surveillance of the SouthPark producers. Through the help of informants, public records and various other means, Scientologists searched for "vulnerabilities" in the two men's personal lives. Rathbun told the Village Voice:

Phone records. Bank records. Personal letters that expose some kind of vulnerability,They'll read stuff into the kind of alcohol you're drinking and how much. Prescriptions. They'll figure out your diet. They can find out a lot about you through your trash.

The Scientology operations were run in an attempt to silence Parker and Stone so they would not satirize Sceintology again.

Rightardia recommends using VOIP phone service from your cable company to save money and also to avoid phone call documentation. All homes should have cross cut shredders in them to destroy banking and other sensitive records so only illegible shred goes into the trash bin.

This keeps trash pickers like the police and other noisy people at bay.

'Battlefield Earth' Screenwriter Writes Apology for worst movie of the decade

First Posted: 03-28-10 09:16 AM | Updated: 03-28-10 09:33 AM

'Battlefield Earth' won a Razzie for the worst movie of the decade this month, and screenwriter J.D. Shapiro has written a long, hilarious apology and explanation for in the NY Post.

The movie was a sci-fi bomb based on a novel by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. The movie starred John Travolta.

Shapiro came about the project in 1994 by reading that the Scientology Center was a "great place to meet women," but found it wasn't. He ended up meeting Karen Hollander, president of the center, who was a fan of the Shapiro-penned "Robin Hood: Men in Tights." She suggested a movie based on a book by Hubbard.

He agreed, dined with John Travolta, wrote and sold a script to studios that he was proud of, and then had that script radically altered.

But first he tried Scientology:

I took a few courses, including the Purification Rundown, or Purif. You go to CC [Celebrity Center] every day, take vitamins and go in and out of a sauna so toxins are released from your body. You're supposed to reach an "End Point." I never did, but I was bored so I told them I had a vision of L. Ron.

The resident Scientologists said, "What did he say?" "Pull my finger," was my response. They said I was done.

Newsy.com: Is Wikipedia here to stay?

Here is another insightful article from Newsy.com.  Rightardia has used a tremendous amount of information from Wikipedia to write articles. It is a free online encyclopedia that is equivalent to Encyclopedia Britannica.

Wikipedia is useful in refuting misinformation disseminated from the right. Right wingers have tried to suggest the Democrats caused the Great Depression after Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover had been in office for 10 years. The Great Depression started during the Hoover administration.

The right wing has also tried to associate fascism and Nazism with the left that is historically inaccurate. The right also insisted there were WMDs in Iraq.  That was also a conservative lie that Wikipedia debunked.

Scientology Ads Take Over the Web

Secular Human Note:  Rightardia doesn't endorse any religion. In fact, we are sceptical about religion in general. We apologize for not being able to block the Scientology ads.

by Jordan Golson Tuesday, July 7, 2009

Google AdSense is serving up ads from the Church of Scientology, the religion founded by science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard. Seth Weintraub, for one, can’t seem to ban them from his site.

Weintraub’s Macintosh Rumors page, 9to5Mac, might seem an odd place for Scientology to advertise, but the Church is in the midst of a multimillion-dollar ad blitz to promote the organization.

Weintraub noted that he didn’t have a problem with any advertiser in particular, until his readers started complaining about the adverts, especially since he hadn’t noticed any rise in ad revenue. However, when he attempted to rid his site of the ads with competitive URL filtering — one of the tools Google gives its AdSense users, they had no effect.

Weintraub writes in Computerworld, “I’ve…put every Scientology URL in the filter. To no avail. The Scientology ads keep coming.”

Even Wired Online, which wrote an article about the backlash against the campaign, couldn’t escape the ads. Condé Nast Executive Director Josh Stinchcomb told Wired’s Epicenter blog that the Scientology ads showing up on Wired.com were delivered through Google’s AdSense service. Google didn’t respond to requests for comment.
