A question that Republicans cannot and will not answer

Rightardia has mentioned this many times.

What states take more as recipient states form the federal government than they pay in taxes?

What states have the lowest incomes?

What states have the lowest literacy and highest high school drop out rates?

What states have high obesity rates, teen pregnancy and VD rates?

These, of course are the Red States.

US is number three in the world

Rightardia has found an area in which the US is nearly the best country in the world for this. We give the Red States all of the credit for this amazing statistic.

The South will never rise again, it's too fat.

Andrew Price on June 30, 2010 at 2:30 pm PDT
An update on our collective waistline: The Trust for America's Health has a new report out. It has a blunt title "F as in Fat," and the news isn't good. The map above shows America's obesity rates state by state which is in the 25 to 30 percent range.

To put that in perspective, in 1991, no state had an obesity rate higher than 20 percent. some researchers have attributed the problem to high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) which stimulates weight gain more than sucrose.

The Republicans put a tariff on imported sugar so the Archer-Midlands Corporation would be able to sell the domestic HFCS competitively. The process to make HFCS is nearly identical to the one that makes Ethanol.

The report also notes the relationship between income and weight: "35.3 percent of adults earning less than $15,000 per year were obese compared with 24.5 percent of adults earning $50,000 or more per year."

Part of the problem there is that a salad costs more than a Big Mac. So that's something to remedy. More cycling and walking would help, too.

Colorado has the lowest obesity rate at 19 percent. Apparently a year-round routine of uninterrupted mountain biking, rock climbing, and snowboarding more than offsets the side effects of the munchies.

The Southland will never rise again because it is too fat!

Not only is the South too fat, it's menfolk can get it up either to rise to the occasion. Two thirds of Americans have love handles. The extra weight hasn't hampered their interest in having a healthy sex life.

Research shows that overweight men are just as interested in sex as the next guy, but they may not be able to perform.

Experts say that 90 percent of erectile dysfunction is physical in origin, not psychological. In large-scale studies, nearly 80 percent of men who reported having erectile dysfunction were also overweight or obese.

This is why the South will never rise again. It can't get it up.
