The GOP view of the fiscal cliff

The GOP has much more to lose if the US goes over the cliff. First, the Bush tax cuts disappear. Good riddance.

The sequestration kicks in that hits defense big time. Another needed change.

Obama has made it very clear that he wants the Bush tax cuts rescinded for the top 2 per cent of Americans which will reduce the deficit by 25 per cent.

This is good tax policy and should not be contentions.
