I challenge Patrick Haddon to a duel.
Rightrdia knows there are a lot of throw back politicians in SC. These folks think the confederacy won the civil war.
S.C. Sen. Jakie Knotts (RINO-Lexington) recently won another four-year term as State Senator.
Then the law suit.
Knotts is going to be sued about a December 2010 incident in which he challenged former South Carolina Republican Party official Patrick Haddon to a duel!
If found guilty, Knotts will not only be removed from the ballot … but from his office as well.
Why?
Believe it or not, there’s a constitutional prohibition against dueling in the Palmetto State.
The South Carolina Constitution (Article XVII Section 1B) says:
any person who shall fight a duel or send or accept a challenge for that purpose, or be an aider or abettor in fighting a duel, shall be deprived of holding any office of honor or trust in this State, and shall be otherwise punished as the law shall prescribe.
