Pink Slip Puppet Mike Haridopolos drops out of US senate race

Florida Watch Action BREAKING NEWS: Pink Slip Puppet Mike Haridopolos, one of Rick Scott's greatest allies in the legislature, is ending his bid for the U.S. Senate race after "a very tough month." 

This comes on the heels of our two week campaign exposing Haridopolos' rubber-stamping of Scott's anti-middle class agenda.

This is a huge victory for us. Now, all of Pink Slip Rick's Puppets are officially on notice. But we can't stop now. Pitch in $10 or more to FWA right now so we can continue exposing puppets like Mike Haridopolos in the state legislature!

Last Friday, we launched a wide-reaching Facebook ad campaign targeting voters across the state about Haridopolos and his connection to Governor Scott. It clearly struck a nerve as not only did he drop out, but Rick Scott's press team is in crisis mode trying to spin this as some sort of victory for his radical conservative agenda.

Haridopolos' sudden exit from the Senate race is actually a tremendous blow to Scott.

This is a not so subtle acknowledgement that Pink Slip Rick has become toxic in Florida, and anyone even seen as being his puppet is dead in the water in any election. It means that our efforts are working -- and it means that we need to continue the fight.

This should be a message to Rick Scott, but it's clear he isn't listening. Moments after the announcement, he released a statement lamenting the decision and even -- hilariously -- calling Haridopolos: "...a great help to me during the legislative session." Delusion. That's all I can say there.
