Grifter-governor Rick Scott's vice solutions for the Florida economy
Grifter-governor Rick Scott seems to think that making Florida the 'vice capital" of the US will resolve the state's ills.
First he wants to legalize gambling in the state and and create "destination casinos."
This term refers to the high-end casinos that have entertainment, retail malls and convention space in addition to blackjack tables, roulette wheels and slot machines.
The gaming industry has tried this before in Florida but the electorate voted it down three times during state-wide plebiscites.
How did the gaming industry even get gambling onto the ballot? Well, corporations or their PACS hire GOP activists who stand near library entrances and ask you if you would like to sign an innocent looking petition.
On the top of the activists clipboard is an innocent sounding intuitive like a state "puppy and kitty day" every year. Then another petition appears and another.
Most people just sign the the six or more petitions after they have read the first couple of them. Buried in the pile was a petition to establish gaming zones that would allow gambling in the state.
Many people have no idea of what they were really signing. People that go to libraries are usually well-educated, but the activist was able to hoodwink them.
The only gambling that is allowed in Florida in on native American Seminole Indian reservations or property. Undoubtedly Scott's proposal for destination casinos will negatively affect the Seminole Indian Tribe of Florida.
Rightardia also found and posted an interesting article on the Hillbilly Report on how Scott is trying to disband the monitoring of prescription drugs.
This is a federally funded program that will create jobs. Apparently Oxycontin sold in Florida is making its way to Eastern Kentucky where it is called Hillbilly Heroin.
What is next for Scott. We he encourage Floridians to smoke and drink more to raise state revenues. Or will prostitution be legalized?
Stay tuned for the next outrage from this carpetbagger governor.
