Joe Scarborough: I have a lot of family members that listen to him and watch him and are frightened by the things that he says every night with his chalkboard...my mom and a lot of other people like her that watch him every day start to believe if they hear every day, every day, that there's this guy in Washington D.C., this black guy that hates all white people and he wants to take your money . . . and he wants to destroy the country you grew up in.
You feed that vile message to Americans every day, it's going to have an impact.
Rightardia appreciates Scarborough for saying this. Most of the violence metaphors and veiled threats have originated form three people: Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin in no particular order.
Immediately after the election, gun and ammo sales increased and armed men started showing up at Obama political events. Neo-Nazis started patrolling he border between Mexico and Arizona. Two southern governors threatened secession.
None of this occurred when George W. Bush was president. Democrats never threatened the president or the government with violence.
Many Democrats were proud when Obama was elected president. We thought it was a new days and America was ready for a black president. Apparently many Americans were not ready.
