WASHINGTON – A New Hampshire activist, Sean Mahoney, has resigned from the Republican National Committee. This may put even more pressure on chairman Michael Steele to resign.
Mahoney, a former businessman, was elected to the RNC in 2007. He said the party had been corrupted by the "out-of-touch, free-spending culture of Washington."
On Monday, Steele's top aide and an outside fund has also severed ties with the RNC. A stafer for the RNC's Young Eagles was also fired for authorizing an expense account charges at a lesbian voyeur club. This event has been referred to as Bondage-gate.
