The Senate's HELP Committee Tuesday held a hearing on the Healthy Families Act that would provide up to seven paid sick days a year to some workers who don't have them.
Debra Nass of the National Partnership for Women And Families told the committee that 48 percent of U.S. private sector workers have no paid sick leave.
She says while working families always struggle with this burden, it’s especially difficult now with the nationwide H1N1 flu virus emergency.
Rightardia can imagine the Republican response if a sick leave bill is introduced.
