Zogby: GOP Faces Extinction Risk

Rightardia comment: The problem the GOP has is that the right wing zealots and ditto heads that make up most of the party want to move it to the right. These people represent nearly 60 per cent of the GOP. If they succeed in taking over the party, the GOP will become a regional party with permanent minority status. It is also noteworthy that John Zogby's polls have often been wrong.

Pollster John Zogby said that the Republican Party could be "teetering on the brink" of extinction as it fails to appeal to the fastest-growing demographic groups in America.

He said the GOP is not taking advantage of Democratic setbacks because it has no alternative policies of its own.

Zogby is CEO of Zogby International, a firm he started in 1984.

Could the Republican Party really become extinct?

"Let's face it, it could be teetering on the brink," he declared.

Zogby also stated that Republicans are "swimming against the tide of demography."
