Obama will speak in front of the AMA on Monday in Chicago

American Medical Association (AMA) president Nancy Nielsen said the president will likely be greeted with cheers. "We expect that he will get one big standing ovation as he comes in, and we expect that he will be warmly received and listened to very respectfully," Nielsen said.

Many doctors believe that a public health care system is invertible. This is bad news for the health insurance industry which is often at odds with doctors.

According to MoveOn.org, the US Chamber of Commerce is organizing a $100 million lobbying effort to defeat Democratic efforts to reform health care in the US. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is different than you local chamber: it represents the interests of mega-corporations, especially the energy industry—big oil and big coal.

In the next ten days, MoveOn.org will try to to help and strengthen a new energy bill. And after the big vote, it will keep going to demand a public health insurance option in the health care bill, fighting for tough new rules to rein in the financial industry, and making sure Obama's progressive agenda gets enough grassroots support to succeed.

MoveOn.org played a critical role in getting Barack Obama the Democratic Presidential nomination.
