Bettlejuice getting ready to go supernova

The movie Beetlejuice was named after the Red Giant Beteleguese, a star that my explode soon.

Betelgeuse is a red giant, a fate our own sun will one day experience. if Betelgeuse were in our solar system, its orbit would extend to the planet Jupiter. It is about 520 light years away and the supernova will not effect the Earth. Scientists have reported it has shrunk in size in the past 15 years.

It may go supernova at any time and according to Wikipedia it has another millennium left at best. This will put on quite a show in the constellation Orion.

Check out the Youtube video on Betelgeuse. It is worth watching.
