Mike Huckabee got back on the family values soap box and called out Natlie Portman for being single and pregnant. Huckabee said nothing when a Christian woman, Bristol Palin, gave birth out of wedlock.
To make matters worse, Portman is Jewish. We think Christian clergymen would be wise to restrict their comments to people in their own community.
Bristol Palin has written a book. No one should be criticized for wanting to make a dollar. It’s their absolute right.
Who is the idiot who is going to purchase her book. Why? For what possible reason would anyone dish out $20 and waste a couple of days of their lives reading the 304 page memoir of a 20 year old who by all indications has the intelligence level of her mother.

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell interviewed Jennifer Grey:
Grey: I have to say that [Bristol] really came a long way. O’Donnell: No, you don’t have to say that. Grey: No, she did. O’Donnell: I saw her dance. Grey: Did you see her at the beginning, see her at the end? Totally different, and she’s a lovely girl. O’Donnell: How could she not improve slightly? If they keep her — if the fake votes keep her in the competition the whole time. Grey: Well, bully for her. Bully for her.
Bristol finished at the bottom of the leader board nine times, yet she moved on to the next week all the ways to the finals. That is one record that will never be beaten.
Secular Human has been following ballroom dancing since the Disco Era and was familiar with many of the Dancing with the Stars dancers from competition on PBS.
He ranked Bristol in about middle of the pack and expected her to be gone about week 4. Brandy, Audrina Partrdge, Kurt Warner and Rick Fox were better dancers than Brstol Palin.
Normally there would be a judges only elimination round in the semi-finals or finals, but DWTS didn't do that this year. Perhaps the judges were afraid of Sarah Palin!
This is not the first time that a substandard dancer progressed.
Marie Osmond made it the semi-finals on the coat tails of her fans, but the judges did the right thing and eliminated her. Rightardia did not think that Shawn Johnson, the gymnast, deserved to win DWTS finals either.
But the judges give all of the teams high scores in the finals and the semi-finals so the viewers have been picking the winners.
The cat fight between Bristol and Margaret continues
The branch doesn't fall far from the tree. The Palin's never know when to shut up and let something go.
Margaret Cho claimed a reliable source indicated Sarah Palin blamed her loss of the 2008 election on Bristol getting preggers.
Palin supposedly forced Bristol to go on Dancing with the Stars because she owed her one. Sarah wanted Bristol on DWTS so "America would fall in love with her again." Rightardia isn't sure if "her" was Sarah or Bristol.
Said Bristol on Facebook:
To my friend Margaret Cho, if you ever have a question, call me girlfriend. Don't ever rely on "sources" who claim to know me or my family. You will be taken every time. And we need to talk. You say you "don't agree with the family's politics at all" but I say, if you understood that commonsense conservative values supports the right of individuals like you, like all of us, to live our lives with less government interference and more independence, you would embrace us faster than KD Lang at an Indigo Girls concert.
P.S. If you want to baby-sit Tripp, I could use a night off.
Commonsense conservative values is a political statement. GW Bush had those common sense conservative values,too, and look what a mess he created!

Former Bush communications adviser Nicolle Wallace took to MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Wednesday, the home of recently announced Sarah Palin pessimist Joe Scarborough, and argued that the worry about the former Alaska governor's 2012 ambitions were unfounded.
The GOP's possible "President Palin" dilemma would work itself out, she said. Still, Wallace said that Palin displays "incredible cynicism" and is "very prickly." Wallace said:
I believe that if she were on the cusp of becoming the nominee for the Republican party a whole lot of people... would talk about some of her more troubling deficiencies,"
Her incredible cynicism, her bitterness, her aggressive attempts to claw anyone that points out an area for her to work on, I think these things will continue to reveal herself and the people that love her will continue to love her, but the people who are not so sure about her will, I think, formulate harder opinions and more clarity about her.
"No one's gonna cut her off at the legs," Wallace claimed.
Only Sarah Palin can beat Sarah Palin, and let me tell you why no one will take her on. Her defenders and supporters, the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity -- people I admire -- are so powerful on the Right that nobody wants to anger any of those people, nobody wants to end up in the crosshairs, and nobody wants to look like they are unwilling to let her do her thing.
Wallace continued:
Just let her do her thing, she is going to be exposed enough to the American public that she will reveal what her nature is. I think her nature has been revealed lately as very prickly, very cynical.
Rightardia believes Palin is a narcissist. Narcissists need enablers to function and .of course, Palin has many admirers who feed her narcissistic personality.
But narcissists have fragile egos and are unable to handle criticism. Narcissists believe they are perfect and it's the others who have the problem.

Rightardia recalls that the McCain camp decided to withdraw form Michigan because it was behind by double digits. Palin criticized the decision and said she would go to Michigan to campaign.
Her comments was inappropriate and Obama did, in fact, win big in Michigan.
Did Bristol's pregnancy have anything to do with the McCain loss. Democrats snickered about it, but the big Palin mistakes was the Couric interview which she flubbed and proved she lacked a grasp of national and international events.
Couric's interview was professional and Palin simply did a belly flop on national TV. Palin has no one to blame but herself.
The Niemann Marcus Coast to Coast shopping spree in which Palin spent $150,000 of a GOP donors money on clothing was also a huge gaffe.
Why would Sarah Palin blame her daughter for 'her defeat" in 2008. Narcissists like Palin and Limbaugh are perfect. They never make mistakes. it's always someone else's fault.
I heard from someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really) that the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it.

This is what happens when you let professionals decide scoring! They judge on dumb things like talent . . .
Why couldn’t the show have left it up to psychotic Tea Partiers like they did in a previous episode when Bristol Palin beat out Brandy despite a laughable performance by Palin?
It’s shocking DWTS has made it as far as it has, considering reality TV banks on shock value and surprises. What would have been a better twist than crowning Bristol winner?
Besides, Bristol deserved the win. I’m not talking talent or merit. I’m talking pity.
Sure, the 50-year-old Grey was twice the age of many contestants and danced through a painful back injury.
But Bristol Palin has to wake up and be Bristol Palin every day, and that’s way more a challenge than any ruptured disc.
After her humiliating abstinence-only campaign (what says FAIL more than a single mom pretending abstinence education works?) and her mom’s frequent abuse of the English language, (including recently tweeting “refudiate” in an unintentional combination of “repudiate” or “refute”) America needs to throw the girl a bone.
Besides, who could deny that the Bristol and Mark's hamster dance was an American original. Mark was gallant when he broke Bristol out of the Wassilla hamster cage and they both danced around the floor in a gaint hamster ball.
This is entertainment worthy of adulation by even Joe the Plumber.
Bristol was robbed, pure and simple. She is a Palin and was entitled to win DWTS. The finals should have been a "Bristol Stomp!"
Now that Bristol finished third in Dancing with the Stars (DWTS), conservative hopes for taking the Great Mirror ball trophy were dashed for another year.
If Bristol would lose a little more weight, she might get a lucrative offer from Playboy. Yes, that could happen.
Her mother would not be impressed, but it might improve Sarah's presidential campaign at least with bikers. Tea Baggers, ditto heads and other right wing bottom feeders.

As progressive Democrats, Rightardia is hardly terrified by Palin. We hopes she get the GOP nomination and runs. We would love to crush her in a presidential race. It would be shadenfreude of the first order. We consider her to be another anti-intellectual like Bush.
Why Sarah Palin so disturbs people.
Sarah Palin’s political success has come in such a way as to seem like a rebuke to those who have worked hard to get where they are.
Typically, politicians strut like peacocks on the national stage value experience for years going knowledge, doing dues-paying.
Palin seems to be quickly profiting from qualities—spontaneity, you-betcha folksiness, an anti-sophistication about issues, and, let’s face it, striking good looks—that the elite don’t have, and don’t easily endorse.
In many respects her aura has extended to her daughter, Bristol. Bristol dropped out of high school and got preggers. When Dancing with the Stars did vignettes on the contestants, all of them except Bristol had distinguished careers. Bristol was there because of her charismatic, but fatally flawed mother.
To the matter of her appearance: There is no question that her seasoned beauty and vivacity are ingredients in the Palin cocktail.
Yes, Palin is attractive and so is Michelle Bachmann. Both are also dumber than posts. Palin has that rare quality of charisma that is lacking in many politicians. However, she has so many other flaws, her charisma won't carry her to the presidency. She has the potential to be another misguided demagogue like GWB.
This must, surely, bother the likes of Frank Rich and Barbara Bush. To the former, it likely evokes Eva Peron, another beautiful populist, and the evocation can only be distasteful, what with the faintly Third World whiff of it all.

Palin represents a GOP outsider who the McCain camp was unable to control. Party insiders are hardly thrilled of the prospects of someone they will be unable to control as president. Palin is not the standard GOP "team player" drone.
Every season there is someone on Dancing With The Stars that doesn't belong in the semi-finals. These contestants survive because of a 'fan base' that generate improved ratings for the show.
A couple of seasons ago, Marie Osmond made it into the semis, although she was one of the weaker dancers. One of the better dancers this season, Audrina Partdge, was eliminated even though she had the best score of the week.
Judge for yourself. Bristol's movement and footwork are wooden and she seems to be unable to lose weight near the end of the season. It's time for Bristol to go home to Wasilla. By now Bristol should look a lot different than she did at the beginning of the season.
Carrie Ann Inaba was the only judge that gave Bristol the rating she deserved--a 7--he lowest rating of the night. Even Len Goodman was cowed by the Palin name.
Regardless, it is hard to believe that any of the dancers will be able to take home the mirror ball other than Jennifer Grey or Brandy. Brandy is coming on very strong but Jennifer has Derrick Hough as a partner, the best dancer and choreographer on the show.

Rumors concerning every detail -- the wedding dress, the guest list, the ceremony -- swirl around the July 31 wedding of Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky at the extravagant Astor Courts in Rhinebeck, N.Y., above the Hudson River.
It promises to be a glamorous A-list affair. Mother of the bride and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said repeatedly, whenever given the chance, that Chelsea's wedding is the most important thing in her life.
Sarah Palin, well, is a different story. It's rumored that Sarah Palin will not attend daughter Bristol's August wedding to her off-again, on-again baby's daddy Levi Johnston.
Although Levi Johnson has publicly apologized about some of the comments he made about Caribou Barby, apparently that wasn't good enogh for the former Alaskan governor.
Even Miss Manners has a word to say about this.
While Judith Martin, aka "Miss Manners," declines to discuss individuals "because it would be rude," she does have a few thoughts about parents who boycott their children's wedding, she told Politics Daily's Annie Groer.
It is a very serious statement that people sometimes live to regret," said Martin, the author of "Miss Manners' Guide to a Surprisingly Dignified Wedding" written with daughter Jacobina Martin.
The regret stems from the fact that it makes the children very angry because it's a very public form of disapproval. It's one thing sitting around moaning that your daughter could have done better, but another to make clear to everyone in your entire circle that you think so.
It's not entirely shocking if the boycott rumor becomes truth. In the past, Sarah has been less than kind to Levi, who burnished his black sheep credentials when he posed nude for "Playgirl."
He further frosted the family air by stating that Sarah called her son, Trig, who has Down's syndrome, retarded.
Palin retorted, "Consider the source of the most recent attention-getting lies. Those who would sell their body for money reflect a desperate need for attention and are likely to say and do anything for even more attention."
Just last week, in a statement to "Good Morning America," Sarah gave her blessing to her daughter's union. But it wasn't exactly endearing.
As parents, we obviously want what is best for our children, but Bristol is ultimately in charge of determining what is best for her and her beautiful son. Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives. We pray that, as a couple, Bristol and Levi's relationship matures into one that will allow Tripp to grow up graced with two loving parents in his life.
On one hand, we have a Democratic interfaith wedding that has been planned for months, with happy parents and no out of wed lock child in tow.
On the other hand, we have a Republican wedding that was announced abruptly, with parents that may not attend and a beautiful love child in tow.
Is this the brave new world of Republican family values?
