What did Mitt Romney bring to the debate podium with him?

Blew up the You Tube frame with GIMP. It appears that Mittens has a 5 x 8 inch notepad or small book. It is not a starched handkerchief.

If you look a the podium closely, it already has a pen and paper on it.

The debate rules clearly state that the debater cannot bring, notes, charts or other tangible items to the debate. Ann Romney gathered up all of the material on the podium at the end of the debate.
