Commentary Magazine: Now at Gitmo: Soccer Field and Cable TV

The right wing is trying to make the Gitmo detention facility a national campaign promise broken issue.

First, most Americans have little interest in this issue although GITMO is probably the most expensive prison in the world at $800K/Year Per Detainee per Mother Jones.

Most federal prison costs about $25k per inmate per year.

Of course, Commentary is omitting the fact that Obama wanted to move the prisoners to a maximum security prison on the mainland , but the Republicans threw a sissy fit  about having terrorists in the US.

Of course, No prisoner has ever escaped form a maximum security prison in the US.

Rightardia's advice to Republicans. Find another issue to complain about.
