The Justice Department (DOJ) sent a letter to Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner.
It demands the state cease purging its voting rolls. The procedure Florida is using has not been cleared under the Voting Rights Act.
In addition. such actions must also be accomplished at least 90-days prior to a federal election which the state has disregarded.
The Department of Justice letter to the Florida Secretary of State is reproduced below:
The DOJ would be wise to drag Florida into Federal court to get a stay on the voter purge before it is too late.
Gov. Rick Scott seems to have little regard for the law or common sense when it comes to drug testing , unemployment compensation or Florida voters.
