As of March 31, 2012 according to the most recent federal filing, Gingrich’s campaign owed consultants and vendors $4.3 million.
This debt is based upon $1 million for private jet service and $271,775.58 to the candidate himself for travel expenses.
Who does Newt think he is, Mitt Romney?
Of course, his campaign committee was organized as a corporation, so it will just go bankrupt.
The printers, jet service, silk screeners and media outlets and campaign staff will have to take the loss.
Update: If you divide $271,776 /426 days which is the duration of Newt's campaign, he spent about $638 per day on his travel expenses that would primarily be a hotel room and meals since he had chartered a jet.
