Buzz 60: Gallup Says American says taxes aren't too high

Published on Apr 16, 2012 by

It's tax season so Gallup is asking -- as it has every year since 1947 -- if Americans think their taxes are too high or just about right.

And for only the fourth time since polling began more think their taxes are about right than too high. Politically it's worth noting the poorest and richest think taxes are too high but the middle class don't. Jay DeDapper wonders how this will effect Obama versus Romney.

The Gallup Poll results could be significant because taxes have always been a one hit wonder for the GOP.

The Obama tax cuts did cuts taxes significantly for the middle calls, but it left the Bush tax cuts intact.
