Some good news for the Port of Tampa on jobs. PIP auto insurance fraud is a big problem, but any GOP "reform" may hurt the insurance policy holders and benefit the insurance companies.
What is needed is a state database than can track insurance claims to identify criminals that are using Personal Indemnity Protection (PIP) to defraud insurance companies, The same criminal rings operate throughout the state which makes it hard to track them. Some doctors are also involved with PIP fraud.
Many family doctors will not treat patients who are injured in accidents because the insurance is handled by the auto insurance company, not the health insurance company.
