A divided state senate committee narrowly approved a measure allowing some advertisement on school buses.
In addition, an election year is coming up and Gov. Rick Scott, the Florida House and senate are expected to have a more moderate agenda, at least until the election is over.
The state is expected to pump more funds into education in the period leading up to the 2012 elections.
