Rick Scott tells a whopper on health care that cost FL taxpayers millions

Rick Scott has turned away millions in federal aid from the Affordable Health Care Law.

When asked "why," Scott claimed that the Affordable Care Law is "not the law of the land."

Actually, it is the law of land. The Supreme Court will review the Affordable Care Act in March.

A DC appellate court found the law constitutional and this court is often used to define the framework for a Supreme court review. In five district court challenges, the Obama administration prevailed in four.

Scott may not understand the federal disbursement process. Once money is obligated by the federal government, it must be spent before the end of the fiscal year.

If Scott doesn't accept the money, another state will get it. Who is the loser? The Florida taxpayer!

Scott turned down $2 billion for Florida's part of a national high-speed rail network. New York ended up getting the Florida money.
