Newt does have a lot of excess baggage
Newt is a bona fide Washington Insider who caries a lot of excess baggage and weight with him. Check out some of the baggage in the graphic.
Most of the people who support him suggest he is the one who would be able to debate Obama.
That is is an offhanded compliment to Obama because it indicates the other GOP candidates lack the gray matter to stand toe to toe with the president
Mitt Romney's problem is that 40 per cent of Americans are uneasy about a Mormon president. Rightardia would guess most of these people who are uneasy are Republicans, particularly evangelicals.
Could Newt be the GOP nominee? Rightrdia hopes so. We think Newt would be easier to beat than Romney, who has a cleaner political record.
The polls bear this out. Obama is one point up on Romney and five on Newt at this juncture.
We don't underestimate Newt, but simply cannot see this slimer as president.
We think the GOP has scraped the bottom of the barrel.
