The different Republican candidate types

Here are the dummies, the Christo-fascists, the savants, the principled conservative and the opportunists.

The dummies: The two Ricks: Rick Perry and Rick Santorum."Oh, Rick Perry, another dumb ass form Texas" was the reaction of many Democrats when Perry announced he would run.

He exceeded expectations giving a drunken interview in NH and forgetting the name of the government agency he wanted to eliminate in a debate.

Even dumber is Rick Santorum, the Catholic moron form Pennsylvania. Here are some of his really dumb quotes:

Isn't that the ultimate homeland security, standing up and defending marriage?

The idea that the Crusades and the fight of Christendom against Islam is somehow an aggression on our part is absolutely anti-historical.

What I’m talking about is onward American soldiers. What we’re talking about are core American values. ‘All men are created equal’ — that’s a Christian value, but it’s an American value.

The Christo-fascists. Michele  Bachmann is a good example and the two Ricks would fit here, too. Here are some Michele's greatest political quotes:

I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out: Are they pro-America or anti-American.

Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas.

But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States.

[Pelosi] is committed to her global warming fanaticism to the point where she has said she has even said she is trying to save the planet. We all know that someone did that 2,000 years ago.

If we took away the minimum wage — if conceivably it was gone — we could potentially virtually wipe out unemployment completely because we would be able to offer jobs at whatever level.

The savants: In the past we called these individuals "idiot savants"because they could one thing exceptionally well but very limited in most other areas. Cain is a good example of his. He has a degree in mathematics, worked in a ballistics lab and was the CEO of Godfather's Pizza.

But his grasp of US politics and international events is very limited. He was recently talking to a group of Cuban-Americans and flopped badly. He floundered badly when questioned about Libya.

Mitt Romney would also fit her because he very focused on US business, the Armed Services and little else.

The principled conservatives: There are two and one is Ron Paul, the libertarian and the other, Jon huntsman, the moderate. Paul is an educated man with a broader view than most conservatives. He objects to US militarism on constitutional grounds. Of course, he doesn't have the slightest chance of being elected.

Huntsman is the best candidate the GOP has but with all of the loonies running around that have infected the GOP, Jon's chances to get the nomination are non-existent. What would help Huntsman would be a huge GOP defeat in November. That might drive some of the crazies out of the GOP.

The opportunists. That would be Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. Both have adaptive personalities and will say anything to win. Mittens is the favorite of the country club Republicans with Gingrich in second place  However, Romney has morals.

Gingrich has been married to multiple women and left one while she was in the hospital with cancer. Newt had a $1 million line of credit with Tiffanys Jewelers that he used to bribe his wife who didn't want him to run for president  He also took a luxury cruise to Greece in April to save his third marriage. He is presently trying to explain his lobbying role for Freddie Mac.
