Sa-24 Grinch SAM
DEBKAfile's military sources indicate the Palestinian Hamas are being equipped with a powerful air defense missile.
On Sept. 25, Egyptian security forces found a large half-empty cache of advanced Libyan SA-24 Grinch anti-air infrared missiles near Ismailia.
The shoulder or vehicle fired missile is similar to the US Stinger and would impede Israeli aircraft from conducting operations below 20,000 feet. The Palestinians don't have the grip stocks for the missile so they would have to be fired from vehicles.
This Russian missile is similar to the US Stinger.
