"Since 1956, when the words "In God We Trust" was added to our money as part of an anti-communist fervor, the dollar has lost about 80% of its value due to inflation.
I guess that was the intended purpose as it sure kept them dad-blasted commies away.
Commies aside, it's really a bit presumtuous to put such a high-falutin' phrase on anyone's money, let alone ours.
