Huffington Post: Roger Ailes thinks Sarah Palin is stupid

Gabriel Sherman's New York magazine cover story will hit newsstands shortly

Sherman, who's writing a book on Fox News for Random House, notes that Roger Ailes -- who built up a stable of GOP presidential contenders after the 2008 election, -- is concerned about  their chances at beating President Barack Obama in 2012.

Several Republicans who know the Fox News chief describe his concerns going into an election year.
He thinks things are going in a bad direction," another Republican close to Ailes told [Sherman]. "Roger is worried about the future of the country. He thinks the election of Obama is a disaster. He thinks Palin is an idiot. He thinks she's stupid. He helped boost her up. People like Sarah Palin haven't elevated the conservative movement.
Ailes reportedly told Palin to "maintain low tones" after the Tucson shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.). Still Palin produced the infamous "blood libel" video

In another funny anecdote, Rick Santorum told John McCain, a former POW, he didn't understand "enhanced interrogation techniques."

Rightrdia thinks boy scout Santorum is even dumber than Palin.

Check out the Huffington Post article . it has several examples of GOP political faux pas: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/22/roger-ailes-palin-stupid-fox-news-new-york_n_865117.html

If you think about it a minute, Republicans haven't been that successful since the rise of Fox News.

A key precept in advertising is that if you advertise a bad product, it will initially surge in sales but then decline just as rapidly.

Rightardia believes it is the fate of the GOP to become a minority regional party.

The GOP may split into two parties because half of Republicans would like to join a new political party.
