There were some stories circulating that either AOL or the Huntington Post closed out Politics Daily. Melinda Henneberger, a former Newsweek and New York Times reporter, was Editor in Chief of Politics Daily.
According to Wikipedia, on March 10, 2011, Melinda Henneberger and other top Politics Daily staffers were among 200 editorial employees laid off at AOL.
Politics Daily was later merged into The Huffington Post's Politics section. It is likely that the AOL acquisition of the Huffington Post led to the close of Politics Daily. We also found a picture of one of the Trusells on Poynter.org.
