A quote has been floating around the internet lately, tickling Progressive fancies, attributed to Adolph Hitler. It goes as follows:We must close union offices, confiscate their money and put their leaders in prison. We must reduce workers salaries and take away their right to strike.
Although we on the Left got a hearty laugh at the obvious comparison between Mr. Holocaust of 1945 and just about every Republican governor in America, I'm sad to report that Mr. Hitler did not ever utter those choice words.
In fact, he publicly praised trade unions... just before shutting them down, confiscating their funds and putting their leaders in concentration camps.
It should be noted that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker never even mentioned abolishing public sector unions in his campaigns speeches . . .
So I guess he and Adolph have a lot more in common than we think,
