700,000 bottle of beer on the wall and only 244 are down? Gov. Rick Scott plans to axe 9500 state jobs in a state that has the lowest ratio of government workers to citizens in the US. The Obama administration offer to extend the unemployment compensation loans to Florida, but Scott turned the offer down.
Scott wants to cut unemployment to 20 weeks while Florida has the third highest unemployment in the nation and make it easier for employers to challenge laid off employees who lose their jobs.
One bright spot. Scott doesn't plan to close any state parks.
