Ayn Rand took gubermint assistance

Ayn Rand is considered the mother of the libertarian movement. She spelled out her far right wing values in two books: Atlas Shagged and The Maidenhead.

Senator Rand Paul, a libertarian, is named after her. Ron Paul, another libertarian, is Rand Paul's father.

Libertarians hold values that are virtually identical to extreme right wing conservatives. The are opposed to socialism and income tax, but also believe the US 'evil empire antics" of Republicans are unconstitutional.

Libertarians are opposed to foreign aid and military adventures on a principled constitutional basis.

According to Wikipedia, a New York state social worker assisted Ayn Rand and her husband with filing for Social Security and Medicare Part A.

Federal records obtained through a Freedom of Information act request confirmed that between December 1974 and her death in March 1982, Rand collected a total of $11,002 in monthly Social Security payments.
