Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has made some interesting comments after the Gabrieele Giffords shooting in his district. Recently he was interviewed on "The CBS Evening News" with Katie Couric and defended his positions.
"If you are in law enforcement and you are not a right winger- you will get all kinds of heat from the right wing nuts," he told Couric.
Later in the interview, he took issue with laws that allow the carrying of concealed or non-concealed weapons at all times. Dupnik said:
That's the height of insanity. I don't know what else they can do. Maybe they could pass a law that would require that every child have an Uzi in their crib.
Dupnik and his sheriff's department are the clean up people for all the gun violence that results from the right wing obsession with the Second Amendment.
After Obama was elected, new firearms and ammo sales dramatically increased. Rightardia believes some of this is associated with an irrational fear that right wingers have of black people.
Some of the right wing rhetoric suggested that wingnuts were bracing for a second civil war.
Middle Class Warrior has a Rightard in his family who actually went out and bought a gun with his unemployment compensation after the election.
The rightard also bought $100 to $150 of ammo from Walt-mart every month. He beleived the price of ammo was going up and planned to speculate by hoarding it and selling it at a later date. At least that was what his story was.
At one time Middle Class Warrior had more than $3,000 worth of ammo of various callibres and millimetres and an arsenal of rifles and pistols in his house.
