Mormons: The lost Aryan tribe of Israel

Rightardia couldn't make this stuff up even if we tried.

The Mormon's believe they are descended for the House of Joseph. In the Book of Mormon, Lehi was an ancient prophet who lived around 600 BC. right before the First Temple of Jerusalem was destroyed.

Lehi built a ship, and sailed across the ocean to the Americas. Lehi was a member of the Tribe of Manasseh. Lehi's wife Sariah may have descended from the Ephraim, which is historically considered a half-tribe.

Lehi's sons Nephi and Laman are said to have established themselves and to have founded Israelite nations in America: the Nephites and the Lamanites. Many Mormons consider Native Americans to be descendants of the Lamanites.

The Mormons believe that the Lamanites eventually bested the Nephrites. They also believe that Jesus Christ visited the new world.

The LDS Church believes that scattered descendants of Ephraim from Europe, Scandinavia, and other parts of the world have been led by the guiding hand of God to settle in the Americas, along with the descendants of the Lamanites and others.

The Americas are a "promised land" of liberty for those who emigrated.

Acordingly, Mormons believe they are Jewish Americans. This belief is not shared in Israeli or mainstream American Jewish communities.

Although Rightardia does not believe that Mormons are Jewish, the Mormons believe otherwise.

If Bishop Romney were elected president, he would be America's first Jewish president.
