Has Obama lost his progressive edge?

Rightardia has notice a change in tone in many of the Democratic blogs we follow. It is clear from the results of the 2010 election that Obama has lost a lost a lot of the Democratic base. Neither blacks nor Hispanics showed up at the polls like they did in 2008.

What does this mean? it means that Obama could lose the support of bloggers like Rightardia, the Hillbilly Report,  LtSaloon. AllHatNoCattle, Mario Piperni.com, Republican Dirty Tricks, Pavlovian Obeisance, the Urantian Sojourn, Bartcop and many others.  Obama has lost the support of some of these already.

It also suggests that MoveOn.org could support another candidate in the 2012 elections. Sure, Obama does have a hostile House on his hand, but the Senate and presidency are in Democratic hands. Two out of three ain't bad.

We don't pretend to speak for the Democratic blogger community or MoveOn.org, but we can hear the hoof beats in the distance. The Obama presidency must make some big changes in the next year.

Unless Obama can reverse his and the Democratic Party fortunes, he will probably lose the support of Moveon.org in the next election. It's support was crucial to his victory over Hilary Clinton in the party caucuses.

Obama needs to reestablish his roots with progressive Democrats and quickly. If he doesn't , he will be a one term president, one way or another.
