Sarh Palin was speaking at a California State University fundraiser when an open mike picked up the comments of reporters. Fox news released some outtakes this week with Liz Trotta and some other reporters who were also critical of Palin.
Among reporters, Palin is looked at as a political joke. Country club Republicans fear she will get the GOP nomination for 2012 and easily lose to Obama.
Many would love the simple minded babbler to run. Of course, many Democrats underestimated George W. Bush, too.
Palin is a different animal. She can be vindictive and she rarely holds on to staffers for more than a year because of her personality. She create turmoil around her and is not a team player.
If her campaign goes badly in he opening few months, it will collapse because of internal dissension.
Palin will try to capture female voters, a traditional democratic stronghold. This is where Hillary Clinton and other key female Democrats will play a huge role in the next election. The Paycheck Fairness Act. was just voted down by Senate Republicans and Palin will have a hard time explaining the GOP vote to women.
Palin has a very identifiable voice, but she doesn't know when to shut up. She needs to learn to speak in shorter sentences, rather than the run-on style she uses. One distinguished writer said she reminded him of a high school student trying to bull shit her way through an oral presentation. Palin is strong on style, but week on content.
Palin needs to be a better listener. Joe Biden completely destroyed her in the single vice presidential debate in the 2008 elections. Palin is often eager to talk about topics she has little knowledge of. She suggested the Vice president should take a more active role in the US Senate.
The role of the vice president is defined in the US Constitution. As Wikipedia notes, The Vice President is the first person in the presidential line of succession, ascending to the Presidency upon the death, resignation, or removal of the President.
In the event of a tie vote in the US Senate, the VP can cast a tie breaker vote. That is the only role the VP has in the Senate.
Rightardia hope that Sarah Palin gets the GOP nod. Bring it on!
