Xmarks is a useful addon for both Firefox and Explorer. The Rightrdia staff uses it to backup our numerous bookmarks. Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal uses Xmarks and likes the program.
It can also backup browser history, passwords and open browser tabs. We don't recommend using any of those features be used because this information could be harmful to a user in the wrong hands.
We hate to see this product disappear but apparently Firefox has Synch program that is similar. Xmarks will discontinue the synch service on January 10, 2011.
