Media Matters: Limbaugh wants to 'choke people into reality."

From the October 1 edition of Premiere Radio Networks' The Rush Limbaugh Show:

Limbaugh says attacks on Palin make him want to "reach out and choke people into reality.

First of all the liberals and progressives have post-conventional views of the world.  Rightardia has discussed this before in the articles on Lawrence Kohlberg's theory of moral development.

Of interest post-conventional liberals and progressives can understand the conservative view points. Most people on he left consider most conservative view points to be irrelevant and not supported by facts.

On the other hand, the right wing dos not understand liberal or progressive ideas at all.

Higher functioning conservatives are rules oriented and tend to view the world in black and white. Lower functioning conservatives follow stereotypes. They like to stay in the conservative box.

Conservatives have core values that liberals and progressives find laughable:
  1. the world is controlled by  divine beings we cannot see.
  2. the US is the greatest country in the world. Clearly we are not except in a few areas like defense. Rightardia has published numerous international indexes on where our country fits into the international food chain..
  3. Giving more to the rich will benefit the nation economically. Although most conservatives believe this, overwhelming empirical evidence suggest that strengthening the middle class will be more beneficial.
  4. Privatization is preferable to a government solution. There are benefits to having the government control healthcare, prescription medicines and utilities. What provides the best low cost product to the consumer? Privatization of social security type of programs in the UK and Chile was not successful. The Canadian single payer system for pharmaceuticals saves the citizens of Canada a lot of money.
  5. War and defense spending help the economy. Recessions almost always follow wars and the life cycle cost of the Iraq War will exceed $ one trillion after veterans benefits are paid out for the next 50 years. What would the country be like if we spent $ one trillion on our infrastructure?
Progressives look at Sarah Palin as a not so bright conservative leader who is very reminiscent of George W. Bush. Bush has been refereed to as the Forrest Gump of presidents. If Palin couldn't hack the Alaska governor's office, how could she possibly be presidential timber?

Palin has put herself in the public eye and is not being treated any less fairly by the left than Obama is being treated by the right.

No one is claiming Sarah Palin was not born in the US or questioning her religion. Progressives understand this, but Limbaugh, who has made numerous unfair misstatements about President Obama and now wants to choke the left into reality?

Rush, Rightardia can see the world as it is. Believe me, we will do every thing we can to prevent a narcissist like Sarah Palin from ever becoming president. We love out country too much to let it be taken over by this charismatic light weight.

Who wants Bush in a skirt running the country!
