Republican Dirty Tricks: Republicans caught in vote caging scam in Wisconsin

Voter Caging Scheme Exposed in Wisconsin from onewisconsinnow on Vimeo.

“One Wisconsin Now” has exposed that the Republican Party, billionaire Koch brothers’ “Americans for Prosperity”, and Teabagger groups are targeting voters in Wisconsin by plotting to engage in illegal vote caging.

Vote Cageing targets minority areas and neighbourhoods surrounding universities, in other words… traditionally Democratic-leaning communities…  by sending out mailings that instruct the recipients to prove they reside at the address.

If the mailing is discarded, or returned to the greed-centered, anti-American claws of one of the Billionaire Koch Brother’s operatives, then the voter is met at the polls and his or her right to vote is challenged.

The Republican National Committee has been under a federal court order not to engage in vote caging since they were caught in the act of being themselves (liars, cheaters and thugs) in the 1981 gubernatorial election in New Jersey.

Despite the injunction, which is still in effect, Republican vote caging schemes continue to be used to steal elections – as well as other tactics in their ongoing campaign to suppress minority voters.

In Florida, There were reports that state troopers blocked intersections in certain neighbourhoods to prevent minorities form voting in 2001.

Polls were also closed in these neighbourhoods even though voters were standing in line.

Thousands of voters were purged from the voter rolls prior to the elections who had committed misdemeanour's although one can not lose their civil rights unless they commit a felony.

Many felons had already had their civil right restored, but they they were also secretly scratched from the voter rolls. If the former felons who had completed their sentences had been allowed to vote, Al Gore would have won Florida (and thus the presidency) by about 31,000 votes.

These are  Jim  Crow era voter practices that suppress voter turnout.
