Slick Rick Scott refuses to release video deposition

Statement by the McCollum On Rick Scott’s decision to skip the Leadership Florida and Florida Press Association Statewide Debate:

Intrepid reporters looking for the latest reason Rick Scott won’t debate today need to look no further than the meltdown press conference Rick Scott held yesterday. Rick Scott tried to blame Bill McCollum for just about everything under the sun, but still refused to release depositions and documents related to fraud allegations at his company Solantic.

When Rick Scott was asked at a press conference if he would release a video deposition he gave in April, 2010, six days before declaring his candidacy for governor of Florida, Scott said seven different times, that he would not because it was a private matter . . .

Scott has already settled the lawsuit against Solatntic and the other party to the lawsuit has agreed to release the video. Scoot won't sign off on the release.

McCollum wounded Scott fatally with his hand grenade on the video deposition. Even if Scott takes the primary, he will be damaged goods in the general election. What is Rick Scott trying to hide?
