Republican Solutions Are Too Predictable

With all the Republican railing against the stimulus bill, the CBO is confirming is that without it things would be much worse. Of course, it is easy for Republicans to criticize the bill although they created a need for it.
After the GOP conveniently bailed out the bankers with TARP, they had hoped to leave the American people high and dry. However now the CBO is reporting that the stimulus both created jobs and lowered the unemployment rate.
Yes, after the Republicans destroyed our economy the measures taken are slowly starting to fix some of their damage.
From the CBO:

Which led Joe Biden to lash out at the doomsayers in the Republican Party who crashed your economy and expect you to give them a tax cut for doing it:
This new analysis from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office is further confirmation of what we've been hearing from leading economists, the nation's governors and families across the country: the Recovery Act is working to rescue the economy from eight years of failed economic policy and rebuild it even stronger than before. When the CBO, Congress's top watchdog and an institution widely-respected on both sides of the aisle, says that because of the Recovery Act as many as 3.3 million Americans are on the job today and the unemployment rate is as much as 1.8 percent lower, it's impossible for even the most cynical, bent-on-rooting-for-failure critics to deny. So while Republicans in Congress - the same party that got us into this mess in the first place - may want to turn back the clock and drive us back into the same ditch we're making our way out of, it's now clearer than ever before that we can't afford to go backward; we have to keep moving forward and build on measures like the Recovery Act that are creating jobs and making us competitive in the 21st century economy.

Which leads one to ask what the hell would the Republicans do?? They did not want to invest in our country and create jobs. They will not allow investment in our countries small businesses and they wanted to leave the unemployed who lost their jobs because of them high and dry. In fact, their only solutions in any of this has been to reward the folks that caused all the problems.
A bailout for the bankers that cost almost a trillion dollars. More tax cuts for the rich which will balloon our deficit. Business as usual for business as they outsource more of our jobs and livelihoods and even get a fat tax break to do so. Republicans offer nothing in the way of getting America moving again except the same failed policies that crashed her into a ditch.
One thing you can depend on: Republicans will continue their war on working America and anyone without a silver spoon in their mouths. They will try to kill Social Security, cut off the unemployed and impoverished and scare you into believing they care about you. All the while they will break down anything that is good for America and ship it overseas.
Why are the Republicans so predictable. Because most of their ideas have not changed much from the 19th Century from Civil War, when they were in power, to the Great Depression.
Their vision for America comes not from common-sense or the want to do what is right but springs simply from what has fueled the Republican Party for so long now. Ignorance, and a desire to go back to a pre-enlightened world where they are allowed to use their money and power to prey at will on the unwashed masses and continue to reward and enrich the greediest and least patriotic among us.

A new report from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act put 1.4 million to 3.3 million people to work in the second quarter of this year and lowered the unemployment rate by as much as 1.8 percent.
