When Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) filed her paperwork for a new leadership PAC with the Federal Election Commission last month, she spelled her name wrong. Or at least the person who did her paperwork did.
“Michelle PAC” submitted its “Statement of Organization” on July 28 with the FEC, according to documents filed with the agency.
The only problem is that Michele Bachmann spells her name with one “L,” not two.
Two days later, Barry Arrington, the committee’s treasurer filed paperwork to correct the mistake.
And for those keeping score at home, the “Michele” in “Michele PAC”, like many other leadership PACs established by pols in both parties, is a clever acronym. In this case, “Michele” is short for “Many Individual Conservatives Helping Elect Leaders Everywhere.”
Michele Bachmann refudated that she is unable to spell. The word on the street is that the RNC bough both Bachmann and Srah Palin the latest version of Speak 'n Spell.
