Morning Joe needs more balance

About a year ago Mika Brzezinski was taking on Joe Scarborough when he he frequently made stupid right wing partisan statements. However, MSNBC management apparently told Mika to back off.

When the Republicans were about to pass a bill that would deny tenure to Florida teachers and only give them one year renewable contracts, The Morning Joe popped up at a Tampa schools who was celebrating when one of its teachers became a Florida Teacher of the Year.

Scarborough anticipated the conservative law would pass muster, but Gov. Charlie Crist, who recently became an independent, vetoed the wayward bill. There was a collective sigh of relief among parents and teachers all over Florida.

When tar balls started showing up in Pensacola beaches, The Morning Joe showed up in the Panhandle to declare "Florida was open for business." Actually tourists had already reported tar balls on the Florida Panhandle  beaches before the Morning Joe show in the Panhandle aired.

Scarborogh had once been a congressman form the Panhandle and he should have known better. Rightardia has warned progressive tourists to avoid the Panhandle because many of the beaches there are polluted. There are plenty of other fine places in Florida to visit that are oil free.

The Panhandle is one of the most conservative regions in the US and central and South florida went blue for Obama in the last election. Few people in central and south Florida have been advocating 'drill, baby, drill.' Let the conservatives in the Panhandle reap what they sowed.

We can't think of a good reason why a progressive would want to spend money in the Whitopian Panhandle.
