John Heilemann is confident his book about the 2008 presidential campaign, "Game Change," is as factually accurate as you can imagine. (05:46). Heilemann indicates the Democratic establishment wanted Obama to run because they considered Hillary too polarizing a figure. 

Democratic leaders also though Bill Clinton would drag the campaign down. Bill Clinton was probably having an affair at the time of the 2008 election. Rightardia believes his paramour was probably Belinda Stronach, a twice-divorced billionaire auto-parts heiress and member of the Canadian Parliament, who is 20 years Clinton's junior.
