McCain staffers terrified of Palin becoming vice president

According to reporters Mark Halperin of Time and John Heilemann of New York Magazine, some McCain staffers were considering an unheard of request if McCain was elected president.
The staffers were aware that Palin would not be able to function in the traditional roles of the vice president.
Many right wingers suggest that the left is unfairly picking on Palin, but was clear to educated voters that Palin was not qualified to be a national leader.
After the numerous failures of George W. Bush, Democrats had little interest in letting another incompetent into the White House.
