Senate passes historic vote on health care

There is now not much left to do. The House and Senate bills have to be reconciled and then both legislative bodies must vote again on the revised bill. Assuming the bill clears both chambers, all President Obama has to do is sign on the dotted line.

Rightardia agrees the Affordable health Care Act of 2009 could be improved. We liked extending Medicare to people that are 55 because many  people lose their jobs in their fifties and connot afford expensive Cobra payments. However, this bill is a big improvement over the status quo.

The Democrats make history and the Republicans make noise. It been this way for a long time. The GOP opposed women's suffrage, Social Security, Medicare, equal rights and voting rights that have made the US a fairer and stronger nation.

Now the Republicans will go down in history on the wrong side of the health care debate as well.
